BTW, I have a question. Anyone here that does not have the data plan try downloading Opera mini 5.2?

I was thinking about it so I could have access to FB. I think it is lame that when using wifi you can't go on FB on your Blackberry.

I exclusively use wifi for anything net related on my BB, because out here in L.A. there are hotspots everywhere. Screw the data plan.

Like I said, I have the newer Bold 9700.

Dont know, but you can't hehe. I looked it up, it is not just me. People who do not have the data plan circumvent this by running opera mini OS it seems.

I love my BB, but I'm like SoMiss, just about done.

BB6 looks great, but it's nothing new to any iPhone or Android user. So too little too late. On top of it, it only works on like 2-3 current RIM devices, making the rest of them obsolete.

Early impressions of BB6 aren't great. Think I read it on Engadget that while the OS itself is snappy, when there is a lot trying to load (they attempted to open the Engadget site), it completely locks up the phone.

I already experience that on the Curve and want to throw my phone at the wall every time. I love some BB-exclusive features but I'm moving on to Android...

Scott, can you explain what you mean about 2-3 current RIM devices? I am pretty close to maybe actually ordering this phone. What I like about this phone is it has a real keyboard. So I think this will be my new phone, unless that RIM is a big issue. Keep in mind I am just teacher, so I don't really need a super smart phone. I just want one that can get me to the internet at work? And easy to text the wife and friend from work during my down time. Thanks and this goes out to anyone that can answer these question.

So is because the network for Black berry are not as strong the Apple network? I have a black jack and the net work is pretty fast and reliable.

I think it'll work on the Bold and the Torch, and that's it at this current time. Any other BB device is SOL.
