I have been a fan of hip hop since 12 or so, and I'm 31 now. With that being said, hip hop IS dead to me right now. NONE of the current artists have the lyrics to match their beats. It seems like I'll love the beat and hate the lyrics or I'll love the lyrics and they will be over a lame beat. There are good songs, I just think that hip hop was in it's golden age in the mid to late 90's.

As someone who doesn't have much knowledge in this genre (though all I hear is mainstream hip hop as I work in the music industry), I believe your shirt could be understood in many different ways.

And so, since you don't have an explanation written on the shirt as to what you really think about the saying, people will keep jumping on your back (like this thread). Though, others may think you are just following a trend that is getting pretty old now.

What really amazes me isn't the shirt though, it's how we've come to a time where one can't wear a shirt without getting snickered at because of the letters on the front. I don't know about you guys, but I wear shirts cos' they look nice, and if others have a problem, than they should keep it to themselves.

P.S The last paragraph is not directed to this thread as the OP asked what the shirt meant to us.

yeah I mean when I've worn it, I've never had a problem with people jumpin on my back about it... people for the most part respect me and enjoy my fashion sense, so the message is an afterthought to them.
