    I'm sure. Plus it lost the flexibility of turning off to game when I needed to. I did 2 fresh installs and did my homework. Believe me, this thing is getting bad marks around the geek forums. I've moved on and I recommend PC Tools.

      Interesting. I'm not seeing these problems on the 3 machines I've upgraded to AVG 8 (although I don't game on my PC so I'm sure I haven't tried many of the things that you have). For now, I'm just going to stick with AVG 8. It does what I need and isn't causing me any problems. I looked at Avast, but I don't like the interface...seems clunky. I also don't like that it asks to re-register all the time. I looked at PC Tools, but haven't read much about it to see if it works well.
