Re: Nas: Untitled
Then again, without a throwaway track with TPain, Akon, Lil Wayne, or another lame about getting money in a strip club, I'm not sure I'll actually keep it.Comment

Re: Nas: Untitled
The one track that I'm not feelin the production on is the one with The Game. It's a shame too since Game came correct.Comment

Re: Nas: Untitled
sounds like Nas grew up a little bit. I'm really enjoying this album a lot. And lol at people complaining about the watered down beats, IMO that's where Nas shines the most. The track with the Game isn't bad but I really could've done without Chris Brown.
And count me in as one of the few people who actually enjoyed most of Hip Hop Is Dead. Dude tries something different and people freak.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Nas: Untitled
That's why in the end, I feel Nas is the greatest to EVER do it. Not just the greatest right now. The messages in his music and his ability to spin stories is unparalleled. Also, his ability to grow and change with each album is amazing. From Illmatic's rebel music about QB, It Was Written and The Firm's mafioso music, I Am's big budget glossy feel, Nastradamus' futuristic vibe, QB's Finest's dedication to Nas's neighborhood, Stillmatic's soulful/creative/going to war motif, God Son's grown man music, Streets Disciple's narrative feel, Hip Hop Is Dead's call for creativity and real lyrics in music, and now the sociopolitical Untitled (preceded by the N****r Tape). Not to mention one of his most underrated albums, The Lost Tapes.
Nas stretches himself as an artist, and for that gets a lot of criticism for being a hypocrite and alienates a lot of fans with each release because they are expecting more of the same. However, if you look at each release for what it is and don't compare it to his previous works than you begin to realize that his catalog is damn impressive.
"They thought I'd make another Illmatic
But it's always forward I'm moving
Never backwards, stupid
Here's another classic"Last edited by Streets; 07-05-2008, 02:42 PM.Comment
