Not sure if he's been mentioned here or not but Sturgill Simpson has such a throwback sound, reminiscent of Waylon Jennings and other Outlaw Country acts. Highly recommended by someone that is not a big fan of country music.

Great album this year. I thought I had posted him in here, but apparently not.

so funny. I go through country phases every now and again, I used to be really into it back in the early 2000, and y2k country on sirius has me checking in constantly to see whats on.

With that said, I check in the new country stations, and I had to stop listening. I was literally like every freaking new song is about driving a truck, taking a ride with a girl in a truck to drink in the moonlight, wtf. I don't really read anything on country music but its funny to see its a "thing" that all the songs were the same.

Ill tell you I used to be a huge tim mcgraw fan, the last song I truly liked from him was real good man. I know he's still incredibly popular, heck my name on here for the first 8 or 9 years was Renegade, from his song renegade, but he has fallen off in my eyes, just can't get behind him anymore.

Completely agree with you on all points. Country music as a whole has underwent a dramatic change in my eyes and one that I'm not really into. Of course there are great artists out there and some really good songs but the overall genre has kind of let me down lately.

And on the topic of Tim McGraw, I'm 100% with you as well. I still have his Greatest Hits album in my car and listen to it a lot. Many great tracks on there but his new stuff just doesn't cut it for me.

This Garth Brooks tour is incredible.

Tickets went on sale today for 1 of 3 shows this morning at 10 and the cool thing is every seat is $69 whether your first row next to the stage or last row in the upper deck so it was just first come first serve.

Logged in to the ticketmast site at 10:01 and didn't get my tickets until noon.

And that was only after Garth added 3 more shows, his schedule is insane.

One show Thursday night.

Two on Friday at 6:30 and 10:30

Two on Saturday at 6:30 and 10:30

One on Sunday at 7:00



Didn't get the show I wanted but at least I got our group tickets. So excited for this chance to see him one more time.

This setup is incredibly smart of him and kind to the fans. That many shows per city so the scalpers can't jack up the prices. Maybe more artist will follow suit.

Garth's new album is pretty good!! I would love to see him on tour... This year got to see Brad Paisley (2nd time)/Chris Young, Joe Nichols/Billy Currington/ Lady A, and the Zac Brown Band... Great shows all!!

Well I'm off to see Garth!

Cannot wait. It will already be his fourth show in two days and second show tonight but he doesn't have to clear the stage early like he did for his first show tonight. Hoping for the best.
