New JID single is good, Forever Story end of the month with Black Thought and Danger Mouse album dropping this Friday.
Unrelated but I’ve been listening to a lot of EST Gee and it made me realize beats are not hitting as hard as I need them to, the bass is too light. He needs an Honorable CNote or Young Chop beat, somebody that can put some darkness in the melody. Who Hotter Than Gee and Lick Back I like but there’s some energy missing. Solid weekend of releases. The first 3 songs off of Meg's album I thought she was about to go crazy the whole way, and then I didn't like another track until the Rico song. I've heard Plan B a million times already but I still like that one a lot too, NDA is my favorite on the whole thing though, I like when she just raps.
Skipped all the singles for the Thought x Danger Mouse album so I could hear it all for the first time together. Aquamarine blew me away, Because and Saltwater right behind it. Game with a 2 hour project smh, he went crazy on Home Invasion.Originally posted by G PericoComment

Solid weekend of releases for sure. Really surprised JID could live up to the album hype I had for him but this is awesome, had to download 2007 from YouTube to add it to the end and man the whole album is flawless. Album of the year for me for sure, liked every song, loved Crack Sandwich, Kody Blu, Sistanem, Can’t Make You Change, Just In Time, Lauder Too, and 2007. Also, maybe my expectations were low but this Khaled album isn’t bad. The title track where my GOAT leaves Earth before retirement home happy hour begins reminds me of a Maybach Music Part whatever kinda track, the Eddie Murphy flip for the Migos, SZA coming in on Beautiful.

It’s not the most technical, or the most lyrical, but Push’s verse on Gold Rings has been on repeat for me. “2k21, savage like 21, Fridays are draft night, you bitches is one and dones”, so smooth. Hometown hero still at it.
