Just throw Bruno Mars or Taio Cruze on a few track with him and it'll go triple platinum.

But in all seriousness i guess just because he has a die-hard devoted group of fans does not = commercial success. Kinda strange that you would sign someone to deal then not release their stuff when it's sitting there ready to go. All we can do is

Hopefuily in 10 years or so record companies wont be needed, as of now its just a branding name and a big machine but with the internet you can build your own machine and brand your own name...

Drake could have really changed the game if he didnt submit to a RECORD deal...

Yeah I don't either. They spent money on putting the whole thing together but decide to just let it sit for no reason.

Wish I was in NY. I would absolutely be there. It's a travesty that we haven't had LASERS yet.

They still would own the rights to the unreleased tracks(Depending whats in his contract)...Someones trash is others gold years later...They could put those recordings out as part of a "Greastest Hits" album

Most clauses have a "Commercially Satisfactory" stipulation, meaning that the company only has to take the recordings it believes will sell...Yes thats actually in contracts lol

The company pay for everything like recordings thru advances but truth be told, a advance is nothing but a loan...A unsecured credit card that they(the artist) wont have to pay back if they're dropped...

Being that Lupe wasnt BIG before the contract he signed, I highly doubt he had the same pull as Drake(more advantages)...

****, Big Boi had to wait like what 2 years to release his album?

Lupe says he's gonna be at Fiasco Friday. This makes me want to take the weekend off from work and fly out to New York. It'd be legendary for a mob of lasers to march up to Atlantic records bumping this:

But I remember I'm not a listener or a seer so my windshield smear
Here, you steer, I really shouldn't be behind this, clearly cause my blindness
The windshield is minstrel, the whole grill is roadkill, so trill and so sincere. Yeah, I'm
                          Both them there
Took both pills, when a bloke in a trench coat and the locs in the chair had approached him
                          Here
And he clear as a ghost, so a biter of the throats in the mirror
The writer of the quotes for the ghosts who supplier of the notes to the living
Riveting is rosy, pockets full of posies, given to the mother of the deceased. Awaken at war,
                          'til I'm restin' in peace

I mean I get that he's trying to say he isn't blinded(basic message for all of the sense)but I didn't really get this part.

btw I love how there are youtube pages dedicated to "deciphering" his lyrics

A few of those lyrics are either wrong or could possibly have double meanings I don't know about yet.

"The windshield is *menstrual*. The whole grill is roadkill." All bloody reinforcing the fact he can't see.
