My comments are not about credibility or anything in that context, but moreso regarding the fact that Cube is like at 40 some years old and far removed from the NWA-era... isn't it time to bring a little more to the table?

This "new" album is nothing that probably hasn't already been covered from 1995-2003 circa the Westside Connection. Topics are the same, w/ new beats, and molded in the current assembly-line-rap fashion.

Take Jay-Z for example. When it was stated the Black Album was his last, and he was retiring... in my mind he did retire...and I haven't bought another Jay-Z album since, nor will I.

Jay-Z's another 40-something dude who still raps about club life, hustlin, and the same **** from "Big Pimpin"/Reasonable Doubt days.

I'd say the most profound verse he's put out since the Black album was on Coldplay's Lost remix where he actually speaks to something relevant.

Yeah, I do agree that Cube could stand to get over the boastin'. Half of his material is him boastin' about his status in the rap game, which grows very old. Really if you think about it though, alot music is that way, where it's the same subject matter over and over, put to different music. After a while it's just gonna be that way unless the artist goes political or something and alot of people don't want to hear their political agenda either.

I haven't liked any of the kanye songs he's put out recently. I hope his album ends up being good.

I really liked Power and a lot of the G.O.O.D. Friday stuff he's put out. I don't think there's really been anything I've liked as much as his stuff from College Dropout or Late Registration, but it's still been pretty solid.

That "Lost In The World" track that just leaked though didn't sound too great. I don't think it was a finished version, but it still wasn't good.

          This is it BTW:

                No. I wish it did.

He's talking about a mixtape that has most of his stuff that wasn't on The Come Up and The Warm Up. I have about 10 of the songs on it, but there's another 18 or so that I don't.

                  Was bout to say lol.

I'm normally on top of any new mixtape/albums that leaked out early and I didn't even see that anywhere unless he had some super secret hookup or something, ha.

I haven't listened to the tracks I haven't heard yet, but out of the ones I've heard before, my favorite is easily Unabomber. That was actually the first J. Cole song I heard after hearing him on Blueprint III.

There are 22 tracks on the mixtape.

Unabomber is definitely a nice track. I just love the two beats on those songs I posted.

So that's 2 songs that have leaked out in the last 2 days. These last 2 leaked songs are unfinished and actually off of his album. Kanye isn't happy about that, so we don't get no G.O.O.D. Friday track this week.

I think it's about time he just releases the album though. Someone is obviously ****ing with him and leaking stuff out slowly but surely. He did say the album is done, so it's not like it wouldn't be impossible to just drop it within the next week or 2 anyways. Would be nice if he came up with an album title as well, lol.
