New Lupe Fiasco mixtape on the way.

On Friday afternoon (October 15), Chicago, Illinois emcee Lupe Fiasco joined fans at New York City's Grand Army Plaza for a planned protest to release his third album, Lasers. While just days prior to the event, Lupe and his parent label Atlantic Records reached an agreement that has the album planned for March, 2011 release, the 1st & 15th Records founder greeted fans in celebration of the new developments.

Thanking those who showed up for the "Fiasco Friday" event - which include Warner Music executive Lyor Cohen, Lupe said that his ironically-titled Friend of the People is "on the way."

Fiasco's last official mixtape was 2009's Enemy of the State: A Love Story , which featured beats originally used by Timbaland, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Radiohead.

I like Lupe and all but since when did this become the "All things Lupe" thread? This stuff is starting to get out of control.

I can't believe people think Diggy is nice. He's not horrible, and he wouldn't ruin a song that is otherwise dope....but COME ON. He's what, 15 years old? Why the **** do I care about anything a 15 year old is saying? He's rhyming about fallopian tubes?

it isnt like the dudes from the 80's were in their mid 20's...

I pretty much draw the line at 17 or 18 as to whether or not I give a you know what about anything you say, do, or are involved in. I don't care about Diggy the same way I don't care about Justin Bieber singing about Baby this and Baby that.

I was smarter and more mature than all my friends at 15 or 16 years old....and I was still a damn idiot.
