Just saying you can't compare them now. Talk to me in like a decade and see how many people are still bumping The Weeknd and how many people are STILL bumping Dead Presidents from already 16 years ago.

'Ye and Jay have the lasting power of the greats. I'm not so sure that The Weeknd isn't just a product of a phase.

Don't get me wrong, I like his music though.
No doubt. I have no interest nor care at all to predict how the masses will receive Drake/The Weeknd in a decade. I hope The Weeknd stays secretive. He's a really really really strange guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he retired after he releases his next mixtape.

He never does interviews or anything.

I honestly don't care about his legacy or how big he'll get. He's made music that I've enjoyed much more than anything Jay has put out and on par with Kanye.

Not a fan of the whole Hustle/Drug rap style or just never really been a fan of Jay period?

Idk. I like Jay a lot and I have every song he's ever made.

Anyway I didn't correctly understand what their discussion was.

On the second day, my positive feelings for Take Care have waned a bit. It's gonna be interesting to see the replay value of this one.

People have been saying all of his previously released tracks are the best and I can't disagree.

Yeah I feel you. Was just throwing it out there for discussion sakes.

I think his mysteriousness is something that The Weeknd has going for him.

It will be interesting to see how he evolves as an artist.

I don't know why these two songs never made Cole World, especially Cheer Up:

I heard in an interview that Cheer Up was going to be on the next album. He wanted to make some changes to the song.

I'm really feeling this Childish Gambino joint. Took me totally by suprise. Dope production and he's a good rapper too.

Tell me about it. This thread has severely increased my music library and has pretty much converted me to a hip-hop/rap/r&b guy exclusively.

Wayne and Drake have cancelled their joint mixtape in fear that people would view it as a competition with WTT.

Lol at Birdman. Idiot. Rich idiot, but idiot nonetheless.
