Feel free to post more, as long as you don't figure out a way to have them play automatically as soon as this thread opens, I can continue to ignore the songs you post just like I do with Fly :-)

              Blasphemy.

There is something to be said for enjoying (laughing at) a terrible song.

It's another thing listening to Wayne make boring songs. That's another kind of terrible (not the good kind).

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

Nothing official yet but word on the skreet is Def Jam is dropping Lil Reese and Lil Durk in wake of Lil JoJo's murder a few days ago. There has been meetings with the labels called on if all 3 should be dropped. (Keef, Durk and Reese).

My instinct tells me that Interscope will eventually keep Keef for the simple fact that all this drama will eventually produce more record sells. 50 Cent, the Game and Dre have all been involved at one point or another in some sort of crime and they've all garnered careers after the fact. Another part of me realizes that all 3 of the aftermentioned had/have talent and Keef doesn't quite fit in that criteria in the long run. So whatever happens next is a tossup.

Like I said, nothing official but I'll try to keep you guys posted. In the meantime, here is an article in the Chicago Suntimes describing the story for those unaware.

It might be because of all the other shootings in Chicago and twitter existing but this feels a lot different than any situation with those other guys. He can say his account was "hacked" but nobody but his groupies will believe that ****. Has he even released an album yet? It might be worth it to interscope to just drop him before wasting anymore money on him producing and promoting an album.

I feel the same way. Dude hasn't even dropped a album or had a song with legs outside of "Dont Like". His account being hacked was some bs. From what I've been seeing with dude is that he talks just like those tweets from yesterday. Slow, illiterate speak with a touch of stupidity.

You're right to about the comparison on Dre, 50 and the Game. It all feels different because of the advances in technology. Twitter has singlehandedly become the official source for a entertainers actually feelings on anything whereas it used to be radio stations, journalist and reporters who dropped the official word.

I really hope they drop dude. Now is not the time to promote violence in this city when there are tons of people, my age and younger who want a change. I understand the appeal of his music because it speaks some truths but at this point he's blurring the lines between entertainment and reality. As much gangsta ish LEP Bogus Boys rap about, they've left the street life behind at least.

Has the city of Chicago allowed Chief Keef to put on concerts there? I remember reading the city shut down a LEP Bogus Boys show because it feared violence would break out.

I doubt Chief Keef gets dropped from Interscope. If you look at his Twitter mentions, kids from the streets all the way to the suburbs are eating this **** up. Money talks and that is really all labels care about.

Last show I remember him doing was Lolapalooza this summer. Besides that, I'm not sure how dude is making money. I hope somebody told him that he has to pay that advance back. He had one show earlier this year that got shut down because the show he performed at before that, some little girl got raped and killed after the show. From what I hear, most of the shows he performed at earlier after he blew up involved some type of violence. Fights and shootings mostly.
