Had another listen to Wale and it's not as bad as i first thought. Occasionally he gets on a nice roll and has a decent flow imo. He does have some horrible lines though:

'Chip on my shoulder big enough to feed all of Cambodia'

      and that whole

'mirror mirror on the wall who is the realest of them all' hook is pretty bad but it's not totally terrible.

The more i hear Nothing on you on the radio the more i think that it's that Bruno Mars chorus that made this song a bit hit. B.O.B. does a great job on it without a doubt but i think they could have gotten just about anyone to rap on that track and it would have been a hit. The chorus seems to stand out whenever you hear it and makes women weak at the knee's.

Yep. Most of the girls I know couldn't even tell you anything but the chorus. Same with Airplanes but they will definitely tell you how much they love B.O.B. now becasue of these songs.

I think almost everyone here has been to a club. But I can proudly say I've never been to a damn club that charges $250-300 for a bottle of Grey Goose. Screw that. I've been to club's in Chicago, Cincinnati, Providence, Columbus, etc and have never seen prices that high.

Bruno Mars definitely made that song what it is. I like B.O.B. but not really on that song. His lyrics are ok on it but that chorus is fire. Hell they could of put Jim Jones on there and it be a a huge hit.

Damn, looks like I was wrong about the Em/Jigga thing. No song, just this:

It was hard to keep this one in all day. Detroit's Comerica Park on Thurs. Sept. 2: Jay-Z opens up for Eminem. NY's Yankee Stadium on Mon. Sept 13: Eminem opens up for Jay-Z. Produced by Live Nation. Rap Radar will be there. Both times! Good luck to you gettin' tickets. Ha.

I agree with you completely. Both of "his" hits have nothing to do with him. They are only popular because of the chorus. I'm not saying he's bad, but put him on a song by himself and he isn't big right now.

Who cares how he is getting exposure, I'm glad that he is. They obviously picked those songs to release as singles because of how air-play friendly they were with the hooks and the guest spots.

What does that matter? Those aren't even his best songs.

Exactly. Nothin on You is far from the best song on the album.

My post had nothing to do with me thinking he's a good or bad rapper. I was just agreeing that he's getting a lot of credit when it's really a combination of Bruno, Haley, and Em that made his songs popular.

I don't think anyone is going to knock him for doing what it takes to get exposed though. You gotta go what you gotta do.

I'm assuming the bottle service Cebby is talking about gets you VIP [a seating area] as well.

And I'm guessing you get at least 2 or 3 bottles not just one.

Yeah i'm not knocking it all. Makes perfect sense to release the stuff that sells and i'm glad he's blowing up because of it.

It's a damn site better than another Soulja boy or Flo rida single doing big things at least.
