Logic just dropped this today, and he got Big K.R.I.T. on here & the "0 to 100" sample at the end was flowed pretty well on this track.

So enjoy this wonderful work from two Def Jam heavy hitters.

So many of favourite older album cuts were either only single verses or even choruses only...for Crew Love he just had The Weeknd's intro part on the track then cut it off before his own verse?! He also rapped a lot of his feature verses which I was never really a fan of like the recent Blessings and Tuesday features. But to be fair he did play two of his latest album cuts Energy and Legend to close the gig.

So ultimately a great gig which could've been a lot better for me personally with a better, more fulfilling set list.
This reminded me of 2007, when I got to go to a free Drake concert through my school and I left early cause he was a terrible performer.

I'm a big Glover fan and like his verse on that. I realized I haven't looked for new music in awhile. Ended up seeing that Lupe, Gambino, and Drake all had new (to me) albums.

Decided to come on here and see what other stuff I may have missed or what people were saying.

First of all, I like Drake. I'm a fan of his music. Second of all, the only song I've listened to on his new album is Legend so far. Since I'm a fan of Drake, I'll probably like his album when I do end up listening to it, but that Legend track is alright at best. I don't understand all the love. Admittedly, I listened to Tetsuo & Youth first, but I listen to something like Mural or Prisoner 1&2, and wonder how Drake is so highly rated or considered this king of hip hop. I know music is subjective and I'm a big Lupe fan, but still, I can't put Legend anywhere near a song like Mural.
From a lyrical standpoint Tetsuo & Youth is leaps and bounds better than IYRTITL. No debate. Not to say that Drake doesn't have some bars on this project but for me it is more so the presentation and how everything fits sonically that draws me to Drake projects.

When I listen to any album/mixtape, production/mixing is a HUGE part of what draws me into it, mainly because I have spent so much time producing and engineering myself. There have been some great written albums that I haven't been able to vibe with because of the production being so weak. (Nas is one that is notorious for poor beat selection).

In regards to Legend, the way that sample comes in, you can feel the soul of that old Ginuwine classic, and the way the reverb swells in the headphones, it makes for a perfect intro to when those drums initially come in. But my favorite part is when the cadence of the sample becomes clearer after the LP filter is removed, and then it really picks up energy around the :57 second mark. And in general the ambient reverb put on the vocals give it a larger than life sound which fits the general theme of the record. That's why I feel it so much.

I actually really enjoy Mural, and this isn't to say that Legend is a better record because as a whole it's not, but the overall sound of Legend resonates with me more than Mural does. (Not that I was comparing that record to anything else previously, but to speak to your comparison of the two)

How have I not heard that yet? That was incredible. I'm a big Glover/Gambino fan and I still haven't heard that until now.

All Day is pretty nice. I really, really liked Yeezus for some reason, though. Just had a crazy vibe to it, it's hard to explain. It was something different. I won't mind a return to a MBDTF style, though.

But his performance last week was really good...it was just the song selection I didn't like at times. But that probably also kind of shows I'm not as big a Drake fan as most of the crowd.

To be fair to him, in 2007 he must've just been starting his rap career and he's surely improved on stage since then - I recall Kanye being booed off stage a few times when he toured Australia early on...but all times I've seen him (2011 / 2012 / 2014) he's been amazing live!

The studio version of All Day is a bit of a let down. Also to find out that Kendrick and Vic Mensa wrote on the record lets me know that Kanye most likely didn't write any of this.

He had like 19 different people play a role in the song lol. Live version was better because of the Flamethrower though.

Still a good "get hype at the club" type of song though.
