The sad thing is that the beat isn't bad but he just completely ruins it.

No way Lil B is serious.

This has to be some music exec saying "if Birdman and Soldier Boy can have top 10 albums, I bet we can get anyone to have a top 10 album."

It's some kind of social experiment.

'mirror mirror on the wall who is the realest of them all' hook is pretty bad but it's not totally terrible.

The more i hear Nothing on you on the radio the more i think that it's that Bruno Mars chorus that made this song a bit hit. B.O.B. does a great job on it without a doubt but i think they could have gotten just about anyone to rap on that track and it would have been a hit. The chorus seems to stand out whenever you hear it and makes women weak at the knee's.
Go check out some of Wale's Mixtapes(Mixtape About Nothing was his best one IMO) and give em a listen. You might enjoy those more than you did Attention: Deficit.

Still that's gotta be like 5-6 bottles of Goose considering they're like $20-$30 at some of the Liquor Stores around where I live at. Now if it was Ciroc or Nuvo then I could see how he came to that amount.

And I'm trying to get into the B.O.B hype here and I'm not really feeling him that much(pause). Maybe it's because I've had Trap or Die II and the Champ is Here 3 mixtapes on heavy rotation and that's why I can't get into him like everyone else. I'll still give him some listens and maybe he'll grow on me slowly but right now im not really feeling him like everyone else is.

The funny thing is, he's obviously making $ off of rap. I can't imagine the people around him in the studio being like "yo, this $#!* is dope!" Who let this guy keep recording?

                        J. Cole
Drake(I know I know, but I see potential in him and he actually makes music, not fun loving crap)

O, and btw Allen Iverson has an album out, its on iTunes
Lupe, despite being my favorite rapper is not big enough to save anything. He's a niche artist. Cole may blow up from Jay-Z co-signing him, but we'll see. Drake or any member of YM isn't saving a damn thing.

                        My list:

Eminem: If Recovery is as good as the hype and it sells really well while getting critical acclaim then rappers will see that they don't have to dumb down their albums and resort to stupid gimmicks to sell. Eminem took a big step with "Not Afraid" over a "Just Lose it", "Real Slim Shady", "We Made You" type pop radio single.

B.o.B.: Admittedly, he popped in my head because he was discussed right after you posted your question. B.o.B. has two of the hottest singles out and is the biggest new artist in rap (okay maybe not over Nicki or Drake). If Bobby sells and is well received by the mainstream then maybe we can get more alternative Hip Hop and see artists expressing their creativity and pushing the boundaries of what Hip Hop is. This may open the door for the Charles Hamilton's and Lupe Fiasco's to get more recognition and inspire originality in the game.

I'll have to think of a third, but for some reason I'm thinking Nas (especially if Distant Relatives wins a Grammy), but I'm sure there's someone better I'm forgetting.

If you want to talk about people who are saving Hip Hop for me personally it's Lupe, Hamilton, B.o.B., Nas, and Slaughterhouse.

Yeah it has to be a joke or Soulja Boy must have him come out with songs so that he can have someone worse than him onstage.

                              Welcome to rap music.

Every rap song that's ever gotten top 10 play has been because of the hook and 90% of those have either been penned by 50 or featured a singer.

No rap song goes top 10 because of lyricism.

Yeah, I like CuDi. The thing about him that I like is his creativity carries him more than anything else. He's not really great at anything but somehow managed to put together a GREAT album (which I play a lot even with all the good new music out now).

Right now my rotation is (in order)

                                "The Pink Lavalamp"
                                "Distant Relatives"
                                "Revolutions Per Minute"
                                "Adventures of Bobby Ray"
"Land of Make Believe" (This will fall out soon I think)

I can't stop playing the Pink Lavalamp. Charles hamilton put together a hell of a debut album there. I'm pissed I slept on him.

As I said earlier, I only have a 16 GB I-Pod. Right now I have TWENTY TWO Charles Hamilton albums in my library. I want to give them all a listen and decide what songs I want to put on my I-Pod (limited space) and which ones can stay on the hard drive (also want to do the same with the new Kids in the Hall). Problem is, I can't stop listening to the Lavalamp.
