After doing a little research on the guy. It turns out he is affiliated with Andy Milonakis and Simon Rex. He was also on some MTV show called From G's To Gents.

He is basically exploiting hip hop to make money. I wonder his father is a record executive or something. Or maybe kids today really are easily entertained and buy into this garbage.

The kids today do support Odd Future and Lil B. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this.
Odd Future is pretty good, at least Tyler and Earl are.

Tyler is a decent producer and Earl is nothing more than internet hype.

Odd Future is hardly a movement.

          SMH

Didn't you mention something about the "Free Earl" movement at the end of 2011?

Your opinion on Tyler and Earl, along with mine, and anyone else's is perspective and subjective.

Odd Future exhorts tons of craft that showcases you can be yourself and still make it in the world. For you to not feel the movement is one thing, to deny that people aren't being moved, is another.

Tongue in cheek. You can shake your head until you're dizzy. That boy is nothing more than internet hype. Does he even have a song with any type of structure?

Not denying that kids like their music. Just don't think what they are doing is any kind of movement.

                LOL @ their movement.

Outside of the backpackers, nobody give a crap about their movement.

epaR and **** this Christmas were definitely formed around concepts. You also have to remember that everything he put out before Radical was written before he was even old enough to drive.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a rapper as advanced lyrically as he was/is at his age.

To be honest... I really hate most rap that comes out now. I'm more of an old school guy.

Tupac, Nas, Rakeem, Common, The Roots, etc.

I say this just to give you a general idea of the stuff that interests me.

For the first time today I heard The Northern Lights.

Strongly suggest you check them out if you are a fan of old school rap that has a real message. Stuff is great.

Here you can listen to any of their songs

Nas is 3/3 on the new album so far.

I'm on the same boat as the poster above. I can't stand the music that's out right now.. No disrespect to any of you.

If any of you get the chance listen to some Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Tribe Called Quest, Grave
diggaz, Big L and Binary Star. All classic groups IMO
