Ace Hood, Meek Mill, and T.I. are great. Could do without the others. Can't wait for Ace Hood's album loved his mix tapes over the last 2 yearsSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Haven't visited this thread in a while. Any key hits that have been released that are pretty good.
I heard that Girls Love Beyonce by Drake tonight. That was straight. Last complete work I heard was Fabulous's Soul Tape 2? I think..PSN: MajorJosephxComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
That new Talib Kweli album is actually pretty nice. Mos Def no where to be seen on here though. Fingers crossed for an eventual Black Star reunion project.
You can stream the entire album here. http://www.billboard.com/articles/co...e-album-stream

Chief Keef joined BSM.Kind of surprised to see them link up, since GBE members always boast that they "don't **** with other ******".

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Gucci tweeted it so I think he's signing with 1017, not BSM. I don't know the current status of the Waka Flocka Gucci Mane beef, but I think he's with Gucci on this, though I know how much love Waka has for him.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
This is what made me like J.Cole.

To put it simply the last body of work I listened to was his Warm Up mixtapes. Can someone explain why he gets clowned on so much?

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I don't even really care what people have to say about Cole.
Some of the criticism is warranted because it's not like he's flawless or anything, and he's definitely not the next Nas or Jay or whatever people want to anoint him, but I enjoy his music and that's all that matters to me. So long as he doesn't change what he does just to appease the people that call him boring or whatever else, I could care less.
Besides, it's not like he didn't sell nearly 300,000 copies of his debut album in the first week without a hit single like Black & Yellow, Thrift Shop, Over, etc, etc. So obviously plenty of people enjoy his music as well.Last edited by BlueNGold; 05-09-2013, 08:10 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Did Work Out not come out before his album? If not, Who Dat was big way back when.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
The same could be said for Who Dat as well. Had that reached "hit single" levels, it definitely wouldn't have taken his album so long to release. You have to remember that song came out around May-June 2010 and the album didn't release until September 2011.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick.
