Apparently a couple scenes WERE dropped completely to keep the run time down and the rating at PG-13.

I went in expecting crap, and got something a little better. It wasn't a bad film, probably deserving of 2 stars, but as many have already pointed out the plot was pretty bland and absent of surprises. Bale busted out that Batman voice way too much, and the early part of the film just seemed off. I don't know if it was the pacing, or if it was just uninteresting. And why no R rating? Terminator films should have an R rating. It just looks stupid when a metal machine punches a human in the face and there's no structural damage. The CG was a bit spotty, and not really as good as a film with this kind of budget could be. I think this one is better than the third film though, mostly because the third film was redundant and useless. Still, no one who has seen the first two should have any real sense of urgency to go out and make sure they see this one because it doesn't bring anything new or enlightening to the table.

Overall I liked the movie but didn't like the ending at all. It's better than 3 but the first two are still better.

I enjoyed the movie. It's not a great movie, but it's definitely entertaining, a good summer movie. I really liked the Marcus Wright character.

Supposedly, that "reveal" was in the original script.

If this is true. That would totally suck. Especially since I watch the series as well. I'm really hoping they don't try to spin that garbage

Its not true since Salvation's ending is quite different.

                    Re: Terminator Salvation

Just got back from seeing it. Meh.

It had potential, I really like the Marcus character and the story arcs that are possible with him that weren't in the previous movies.

Michael Ironside needs to be pushed away from the buffet line as he has really added some lbs.

Not a dissapointment as my expectations were on the average scale, but this maybe lower than 3 IMO, at best it is tied with 3.

I was hoping for more of a "battlefield" type movie, us versus the machines...and this really wasn't that. I think this universe has run it's course.

The video quality from the Blu Ray was amazing. One of the best looking BR movies I've seen so far.

There was a nice surprise in the film but that was about it. It's nothing more than a popcorn flick. I would say this movie was better than T3 but not as good as T1 or T2.

The picture was nice but the sound was on another level. This bluray may have been the best sounding hidef audio I have ever heard and the bass was relentless but it wasn't overcooked. I was too blown away by the sound to really care about the movie and i might buy it just as a demo disc. Too bad the movie was forgettable.
