I don't think Peter is that bad at all. I'm really hoping he gets his powers back. Plus you should lay off the facial expression cracks. He was born with a birth defect and has dead nerves in his lip causing his smile to look crooked. This may inhibit some of what he does.

I'm not cracking on his facial expression or making fun of him about that. I'm not saying, HAHA, his face is deformed like its funny to me. But he does overact all his dramatic scenes. He turns his body to face a different angle than the angle he's facing which is kind of effective for stage acting where you really want to convey the dramatic mood of the scene but Peter does it just about every scene and it comes off as overdone on the television. And look, an actor has to work with what he's been given. The lip thing is not his fault but it does take away from the viewing experience. It's like if someone cast a really, really ugly actress in a lead role that prevents the audience from believing that the male lead falls in love with her. I can say you shouldn't crack on her because she was born like that but if it detracts from the viewing experience, maybe she shouldn't be cast in that role. I'm a second year drama minor and all my classmates agree that he's a pretty bad actor. Probably not the worst ever, but he does overact most of his scenes. He'd be a lot better if he took some formal training.

Did like the last two episodes a lot more. Still some things I don't like but the last two have been a lot better and there may be hope for this show yet. Sylar makes the show very interesting.

Sylar is finally dead...about damn time! Now they can create new villians! And I officially hate Nathan! I hope he's killed in the new episode or made normal and all the guys with powers can gloat at his stupidity for turning them in, when he's one of them.

Hey, they actually KILLED characters!

I think that Peter got his powers back and being near Nathan, he flew! Could've absorbed Flint's powers as well but that's something we'll have to see. Or, he has all his powers back but being near Nathan sped-up the process of his flying ability returning and the rest will come back over time. That, or he has to get new powers all-over again.

Sylar? No way he's dead. Way too good of a villain to leave the show by getting stabbed, unsuspectingly, on the back of the head by Claire. And, his real parents got mentioned. *hint hint*

Best of all, the future Hiro and Peter saw is happening! Maybe not the everyone having powers part but super-powered beings being hunted down.

Is Heroes really not coming back 'till February?

I just finished watching Vol 1 last night(I know...I'm a little late) and it was a pretty good string of stories.

One thing I don't get

If Peter could fly....why the heck did he need his brother to grab him and fly him up to explode? Why didn't he just fly himself up there and let loose?

Maybe it'll be answered(legitimately ) in Vol 2.

I'm guessing because since he couldn't contain that one ability that he didn't have control enough to access any others.

I finally watched Heroes last night. It was a good episode but nothing really special imo. One thing that really bugged me was the Daphne-Hiro thing. First let me say that I thought Daphne looked pretty hot. Second, the entire Einstein time travel theory that allowed Daphne to run back in time (and across the ocean to Japan) to get Hiro and then run back to the future with him was absolutely the dumbest thing I have ever seen on Heroes.

I always thought the show had a general map for everything and if I talked to the producers, they could explain everything logically (or close to it). Now I think the writers just pull stuff out of their *** to make things fit. Why the hell did you stick Hiro back in time, since it wasn't really necessary, if you had to make up something as stupid as letting someone run back in time to save him? Einstein's theory was simply that at speeds close to light, time slows down to next to nothing. It never allowed you to travel back in time!! Or run across the Pacific Ocean while doing it! Absolutely assanine and a complete copout in terms of correcting a stupid writing error and poor plot point. I can accept time travel as a comic book like power in the show. But I can't accept something as dumb as a complete misuse of Einstein's theory to achieve it. Rant over.

One correction: I dont think Daphne ran across the Pacific. Hiro and his father were in NY 16 years ago and Daphne was in NY in Mohinder's apartment when she time traveled.

Well, she'll only be able to do that with Ando helping her since he seems to amplify other people's abilities. I also hope they stick to the present for once. With Hiro without powers & Peter's abilities still in doubt (as to what he got back etc.), I think we'll get our wish. We don't have any time-travelers as of the moment.

Or Sylar from evil to good to evil...being turned ONLY by some character(s) saying "I'm your mom" and then "they aren't your parents".
