This kind of episode only works after a few seasons when you can easily place the characters in the events proceeding the story.

I can easily picture Dennis and his speech, Mac asking Charlie if he wants chips with his meal and Frank convincing them he should bring a whip.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Any episode where Danny DeVito brandishes any kind of weapon makes me laugh. When he said he was gonna whip the little kid, I lost it.

"It's weird they were Asian, right?"

I agree with Watson, last night's episode was easily the best for me in the last 2 seasons.

Of the last two seasons it's up there with "Who Got Dee Pregnant", and "Mac Fights Gay Marriage". (IMO). I'll agree it's at least Top 3 over the last two seasons.

Completely random episode but amazingly funny. Top 2 of the season for me (along w/ Chardee MacDennis)

I don't think its a coincidence they both take place in a very limited set. This show doesn't need fancy locations and other gags like that. Just put them in a room and watch the conversation evolve and I'll end up laughing my *** off.

There's a reason the unaired pilot only cost 200 bucks to make and was still good enough to get picked up by FX. Keep it simple, focus on the "gang dynamic" and you have comedy gold.

Hilarious episode last night, the part with Charlie dancing in front of Dennis had me laughing hysterically.

Getting high through "inhalation". Charlie is usually into glue-don't know what this was.

Some parts were hilarious (the Charlie dance you described, the crazy avatar reasoning behind Mac's fatness, Dee's delusion about her charm and comedic talent), but some things just fell flat. Dennis was a drain on the show. His comatose delusion about maintaining perfection was as irritating as his skin. Frank missed on everything-wasn't one bit funny. I was trying to figure out what they were looking for with the stick beating thing.

I liked this one a little better than Matrix31. There were too many gaps between laughs.

yeah, episode was ok at best... my favorite part was the random cut back to Mac in the confessional when he's eating the donuts and impersonating Charlie in that ridiculous voice.

When Charlie went into the crevasse was funny for me.

The candy falling out of Mac's pocket at the end, and the gang pointing and laughing at him was great.

OK episode. Hopefully they explore fat Mac further, up to this point, they haven't really mentioned much about it. Other than the quick one-liner here and there. And of course Dee yelling "Fatty fat, fat, fat" at him.

                          The crevice part.
Charlie dancing in front of Dennis.

Actually, pretty much any time Charlie was on screen.

                          Everyone else was meh.
