Perhaps my sense of humor holds very low limits, but I thought it was a pretty good episode and didn't find it creepy, in fact found it funny especially when Frank kept trying to reassure the parents he wasn't a weirdo.

For the 2nd week in a row, I thought the first 20 minutes weren't that great, but the last 10 minutes of the episode were stellar.

It had a few laughs, but not a very good episode IMO. Agreed on it just feeling creepy, for lack of a better word.

I just hate child pageants anyway. That Toddlers/Tiaras show scares the **** out of me.

            Ugh. They're worse than clowns.

And the episode itself, eh. Just a few laughs here and there.

Easily one of the 2 or 3 best episodes over the last couple of seasons.

Last night's episode was without a doubt the worst one ever, and it's not even close.

The beginning was fine, but then it turned into an unfunny train wreck with maybe one or two funny parts. I wasn't even offended. It just was not funny to me. At all.

Frank coming out looking like a corpse had me on the floor.

Might be me but I thought the gang's discussion about Dee's past in youth beauty pageants was hilarious. ("Did you have a different face?" "No, she was a dog then too")

EDIT:Wow, there's a wider disparity of opinions on this episode then any I can remember. I give this one a solid B.

Like I said the beginning was fine, and yeah, Frank coming out like that with his hair and makeup was hilarious. But right after that is when it lost me. I kind of chuckled twice the rest of the episode.

I hear ya'. I just thought it was classic Sunny. Like when Mac assumes they are going to be part of the pageant.

Also Dee being dissed as ugly by the Prima Donna little girl had me laughing.

I agree the first half was amazing. The actual pageant was boring to me.

Seeing Charlie training the girls and boy was classic Sunny.

Frank trying to explain reasons why he isn't a diddler: classic Sunny.

Dee trying to use the girl's sister so she could win and asserting her power over said girl because she's older and it doesn't matter what anyone but her thinks: classic Sunny.

Mac, Dennis and Charlie writing a song, performing it and also agreeing they will a big part of the show: classic Sunny.

It's always about them which I love about the characters. The pageant wasn't about them anymore which is when the show suffers.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

the conversation in the back office between Mac, Charlie, and Dennis about how they want to be in the pagent and then Frank coming in saying they need to write a song about not diddling kids was the funniest part of the episode imo

Dennis: I'm thinking maybe we could actually be in this thing.

Charlie: I'm glad you said it, because I'm desperate to be in this thing.

Mac: I didn't realize it was even a conversation, I always assumed we would be heavily involved...

Best episode of this season so far. Yes, very creepy but yes, very hilarious, especially Frank in this episode...LMAO. Loved it, watched it three times already!!
