The fact that they make a mockery of Monday Night Football. Tony does not belong in the booth nor should we hear his song when he's asked a question. I can't stand Kornheiser.

I'm sorry but MNF has been made a mockery of at least twice in its history.

1. '85 season with the booth of Gifford, OJ, and Joe Namath

I don't hate it, but it has pretty much become like so many other channels. I tune in, get some highlights, and move on. I still watch sports reporters on sunday, and will watch an actual event like a baseball game. But I get my sports news on the web or other channels as much as I do on espn.

I still do watch the Champions league matches. Fox Soccer channel has the EPL and Italy, but I like tommy smyth and the champions league coverage.

ESPN has done what MTV did, they turned away from what made it great (sports highlights and sports related shows versus music videos) and just bastardized it tried to go mainstream. I dont need all the extra fluff, give me sports and give me a straight take on it.

Three reasons:

1) They spend too much time doing stupid "entertainment" segments and show less highlights and barely any stats from games.

2) Yankees-Red Sox

3) They want LeBron to play in New York.

I agree with almost everything everyone is saying. I watch ESPN News much more than ESPN (and Sportscenter). But I don't understand everyone complaining about Red-Sox Yankees, Patriots, East Cost focus, etc. Ratings are ratings and these teams/areas produce the highest. What do you want them to show more of? Royals v. Orioles?

My buddy said they get insane amounts of hate mail there. The worst is MNF, I guess they get thousands of emails of people bashing it every Monday during the season.

Yeah, exactly. If anyone listens to Cowherd, he makes a great point on why ESPN is all bout Yankees/Sox, and the "Big" teams in sports. Its all about ratings and money, and they know people are not gonna tune in to see the Royals and other smaller market teams.

A lot of callers call in and say "they dont show enough Pirates",(or a team of that nature) and Cowherd simply tells them, they don't bring in ratings. They care about the masses. But yeah, nowadays with the internet, I don't think I've watched ESPN for about 3 days.

I used to watch sportscenter everyday, now I can't remember when the last time was that I actually watched the whole show. Now I usually watch Mike and Mike while getting ready in the morning, which is okay but not really sports news show either.

I have seen the new live sportscenter and it is ok, but they still aren't showing the highlights like they should since they have all day to fill. They should show highlights from every game and breakdown each game.

I like the NFLN's shows and how they break the games and matchups down.
