I hate when they show "full" match replays of soccer games and the NBA which start at the listed time, but after one 5-minute commercial break during the coverage, they give a message "Due to time constraints, we move in ahead in this broadcast after these messages" and then show ANOTHER 5 minutes or so of commercials straight after!!! Usually miss about 10-15 minutes of game time

That, and when they continually show non-sports like Spelling Bees, Poker and other card games and even Strongman contests! Sportscenter is also annoying with its lack of highlights, and now there's an Aussie version of SC which is just as bad, but not as flashy.

What I do I like is ESPN's international soccer coverage including that Press Pass program, and i also like that they have decent NBA and College Hoops coverage locally. PTI is great too.

This is ESPN international BTW, Pacific Rim to be exact.

The only tolerable amount of coverage on the Cubs is none at all.

Fair-weather? I never said I liked baseball among all other things. I follow my Cards, it just happens that I don't discuss them on the boards a lot. Detroit... well who really cares about hockey. I usually follow the Wiz too... so WTF are you talking about?

Are you saying that since I don't talk about my teams on OS that I don't care about my teams?

Or are you talking about the fact that my teams are all over the place? I'm sorry I didn't get to live in a sports town and I cobbled together my teams. You know, I do live in SW VA... where we've got the Pulaski Blue Jays in teh Carolina League. That's it. We didn't get no fancy Cubs or Yankees or Packers. I'm sorry that I liked Big Mac back in '98 (actually... seeing him in front of Congress, I'm a bit sorry I did too), I'm sorry MJ decided to come to the Wiz, since of course, he is my favorite player. I'm sorry that Jacksonville caught me with their uniforms when I was 8. And Dominik Hasek, my fav. hockey player, decided to go to Detroit.

So... which one are you meaning?

Only thing that really drives me crazy about ESPN is their "breaking news". It can be 10 hours after the fact, and it still says, "breaking news". I hate that.

I'm surprised no one said anything about all the sponsored segments. I know they have to make money but do you honestly have to ram The Coors Light Six Pack of questions down my throat instead of some longer highlights? I remember during the "This is Sportcenter" where they showed behind the scenes footage for Sportcenter where a director explicitly said they had to cut some highlights to get the sponsored segments in. That's utterly ridiculous.

I hate ESPN because I hate the Redsox and I hate the Yankees, and I cant tolerate the fact that they think the rest of the country has some deep invested interest in what those teams are doing.

I also dislike Stuart Scott and the rest of the anchors fondness for silly nicknames and stupid sayings that got old the first time you heard it.

Lets not also forget the "Whos Now?" fluff.

We need more highlights and less talking.

Another one I just thought of: Mike Greenberg.

I dont know how that scrawny little Moma's boy got on radio, but he is CLUELESS. Its even worse when they put him in the booth doing play by play, and his game show sucks too. I just dont get it with him, he must have the right connections.
