To each his own. I, personally, thought the first one was excellent, and definitely one of my top-10 favorite action movies.

    I'm anxiously awaiting the sequel.

Transformers and G.I. Joe's are both coming out on Superbowl Sunday!

      Can't wait.

I agree. I just hope they make the government a bit more devious in this one.

          Wouldn't you agree?

I don't think the plots going to matter in this one, John. Either way, the viewing public will eat it up and it'll end up making double what the first one did.

I completely agree. I actually believe I have it as number Eight on my list.

Eh, Eight is a little too low for me.

I'd put it in second, right behind Die Hard. While Transformers does have double the action, explosions, and hotties compared to Die Hard, the acting isn't as great.

                  You'd put it at 2?

That's a little high. Are we talking strictly action movies?

I would have to put it at number 8 on my list as well. Hmm that makes it Double 8's huh.

Yeah, I wouldn't put Transformers in my top-10 of all time list; maybe top-20, but not in my top-10. While I thought it was a pretty decent flick, overall it's not as good as some of my other favorites from various genres.

That being said, I expect the sequel to be just as good as the first. The first one was a great movie, just didn't have the "wow, this movie was perfect in every way" feeling to it. Usually that type of feeling comes after watching a Drama (Drama's make up the majority of my top-10 list).

I would say that Transformers is in my top 10 blu-rays right now.

I just heard it's going to take about 88 million dollars to do some of the filming...

Saw that years ago, so I really can't comment on it. I can't even remember the majority of the film, so I'd have to see it again before I could make any judgment on it.

How is it on blu-ray? I've always wanted to see it on blu-ray, but I don't have a player, nor do I have the money to buy one. Transformers seems like one of those movies that would be pretty awesome on blu-ray.

I have the regular Transformers DVD, so if I ever got a blu-ray I'd probably consider getting the blu-ray Transformers disk. It just depends if it has double the features or if it's just the same DVD but in blu-ray format.

The film is actually on a $200 Million budget, so I assume it's going to have the classic Michael Bay action scenes. I hear some of the action scenes that are in this sequel were supposed to be in the first movie, but due to the budget constraints (Transformers was still a $151 Million budget) they had to be written out.

I think I am in the minority when I say I like Michael Bay. I know he goes overboard with explosions and action scenes, but he's involved with some of my favorite movies: Armageddon, Bad Boys I & II, Transformers, The Rock.
