Movie was actually better than I thought it would be. I could have done without some of the "kiddieness" but I expected that so.

Bad, bad, bad movie. I think the script writers all grew up on Power Rangers.

It looked like the studio gave the authors a checklist & they just set about to complete it. Explosions? Check. Comic relief? Check. Tear jerking moment? Check.

SFX were even terrible. You couldn't tell who was delivering the blows to whom.

The so-called Stepin' Fetchit' Twins didn't even bother me. I couldn't tell how they were supposed to be "black". I must not be getting my memos in the mail on how to be a brotha.

It was simply a stupid, stupid movie. Stupid plot. Stupid writing. Just stupid. And I like stupid. I just don't like paying for stupid. I felt I was watching what I could see on any Saturday morning for a half hour. Only then, I'm getting equal value for what I paid. After a $14 IMAX ticket & $6 nachos, I felt robbed. I would have called 911 if the theater hadn't told me to turn off my cell phone B4 the flick started.

My advice: Rent this, emphasize rent, so you can pause & look @ the rediculous eye candy @ the university. Seriously, Hugh Hefner Tech @ Venice Beach wouldn't have this many models going for higher education. Get real. But if you want to spend money @ the theater, I'd recommend Ice Age 3. That was more entertaining &, sadly, realistic.

Here's a pretty good article on the 10 plot holes from the movie. Some of them are pretty big, but I still enjoyed the movie anyway.

I saw some of that same crap, among other things. That's why I compared it to a Saturday AM cartoon. To be blunt, it was worse. There were more holes in it than a pasta strainer. They put as much thought & quality into it as an EA game designer.

1st was silly too, but bearable. I think because they stuck w/action & comedy. Just good ol fun. This one, they tried to get sci-fi. They tried to get dramatic. They tried to get us to take them seriously, but they didn't take the script seriously themselves. That's probably why its an epic fail, from an artistic standpoint. But if they are going to make 200 mill in a week's time off of it, I can see why they wouldn't care.

Suffered from the Spiderman 3 problem. Tried to do way too much and cover way too many bases.

There are very few if any action movies that need to be much longer than 90 minutes. This certainly ain't one of 'em.

I still don't get the "tried to do too much" angle and I didn't really enjoy the film. The story, for what its worth, was pretty straight forward and linear. The dialogue basically mapped out what had to be done next and when they got to that point, another objective popped up and repeat for 2.5 hours. RotF was nothing like Spiderman 3 - Spidey 3 had like 3-4 different storylines/subplots going on at the same time, whereas RotF really had one, maybe two storylines going on.

Yes, but Bay gave this moment no heart or emotion. Perhaps he tried to (the music afterward), but I didn't feel anything.

I think the biggest problem with RotF was that it was too predictable. At no point did I think Optimus wouldn't come back or that anything would happen to Sam or Michaela.

Also, Megatron went from being Grade A bad*** to a stooge.
