So what you are saying is that White people couldn't/don't act like every character in that movie? That's racism (Sarcasm)

Point being, if you infer that certain races belong to stereotypes, then that's too bad for you, but the rest of us don't see it/ care enough to be offended by it.

Even if you think that only black's could act like those two stupid robots, why do you care what Michael Bay thinks? He is an idiot who just happens to make entertaining movies.

    ON TOPIC:
This movie did exactly what I was hoping to do, entertain the mindless portion of my brain. Just about Perfection execution Michael Bay.

Because it's only racist if it is an African American stereotype and it will always be like that.

No one gets mad over a movie called White Men Can't Jump or the phrase "white trash". Even latino stereotypes don't cause outrage among the masses.

How did the "white people" act in the movie? IMO they were diverse. The psycho/idiot/living with his mom sector seven guy, then Sam(the smart, brave, rich kid), the bad *** soldier guy that is with the chick from BEP's, and hot Megan Fox...a variety. As for minorities, you get a hispanic coward with a thick accent, two "black" robots that can't read and one has a gold tooth. And to be fair the one black guy in the military who has about maybe 1 minute of screen time if you added it all up.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't go home from the movie wanting to write a letter to MBay, or boycott then next showing of the film. No sweat off my back. I'll go see the 3rd one. But that said, it is like non-Native Americans telling Native Americans "c'mon..the Washington Redskins/Cleveland Indians mascot isn't derogatory." Ask those whom are the butt of the joke if it is stereotypical/offensive or not.

But the white guy in "White men can't jump" kicked major butt. He was the "hero". The title was misleading in that if you take a white guy on the court and think because he is white he sucks, you will get PWNED. The only thing negative about the movie was the title. The film itself showed no disrepect/stereotypes about anglo basketball players, it disproved them.

The movie still "confirmed" that white guys play to win, black guys play to look good. Snipes couldn't accomplish anything, he was losing his house/wife until the white guy showed up to save the day.

But I get your message, if a movie was called "Black guys can't ski". It would be doomed from the start. And to be fair, there was that Jamaican Bobsled Team movie that came out, and not a big fuss was made over that.

I don't wanna hijack this thread. Cause the movie didn't offend me very much, to be honest it is just something about caucasian/anglo people telling minorities "it isn't racial" about illiterate "black" people, and a hispanic that needs to be tazered whenever the you know what hits the fan because he is to scared. No illiterate/scared anglo's in the movie.

I'm done. Meh movie, stereotypes or not.

OK, just got back from the movie. Surprisingly, I liked it better than the first one; but in reality that isn't saying much because I LOATHED the first one. There was more robot combat than in the first one (which was awesome!), but still suffered from the same problems I had with the first one (Plot, people, etc.). The Twins weren't as bad as I was lead to believe (still concerning), but they weren't funny enough to attempt give their ignorance a pass. The movie as a whole wasn't even really that funny and a lot stuff was unnecessary, which made the movie drag. I gave the first one a D+, this one I'll give a C- because of more awesome robot action.

i agree with you on this. people reeeeally need to lighten up...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I didn't think it was as good as the first. The first one was like nothing we had seen before with amazing effects and action. All sequels have expectations.

                    Cons:
-Too long. I was disinterested about halfway through.
                    -Definitely not appropriate for kids
-Battle scenes are almost too fast
-Megan Fox's fake lips were extremely distracting. She's already beautiful...why'd she have to do that?
                    -Dialogue/acting
-Plot jumps around from place to place.
                    -Stupid humor, robot balls.
-John Turturro's ***/crotch shot fills up half the big screen.

                    Pros:
-Final battle is pretty fun to watch.

                    Overall, I'd give it a C-.

Just back from it and while it was a little too long, it wasn't nearly as bad as some reviews said. It has it's flaws but overall was decent.
