I kinda wish the new Executive Producers took over way earlier than they did. Yes, there have been some meh/a bit crappy episodes this season but the good/great episodes have outnumbered those so far. PLUS, they're actually moving FORWARD. They're using the Superman mythos more. Generally, I actually feel like we're watching Clark Kent become Superman.

I was gonna comment on the new show runners. These guys have been knocking it out of the box and no one expected it prior

Interesting read on how Sam Witwer (Doomsday) got his first break and his take on whether Doomsday should kill Superman, keeping with the basic lore.

The long awaited (at least for me) return of the show after an 8 week hiatus. This one features the 31st century The Legion Of Super Heroes (Saturn Girl, Lighting Lad, & Cosmic Boy) who go back into 21st century Smallville to vanquish the Persuader. Interesting if a reference to "Superman" will be made.

Nice episode. I loved all of the references. I liked how they referenced that they didn't see anything about Chloe. I wonder how that will play out. I'm not sure I like the Lana stuff though. It's not like Lana was ever a big part of the Superman mythos other than when he was in Smallville (at least that I remember).

Yes this was a very good episode. I was worried about season 8 at the start but this is turning out to be one of the best ones yet

True, but it's not like Chloe was a big part of the Superman myth either, since her character was created for Smallville, so I'm willing to accept some differences from the current DC universe (not that I know what that currently is).
Good episode, but I missed Lois. Lana served her purpose (and then some) but I hope next week is her last appearance this season. I'm glad Chloe is once again in the know about Clark's secret-not having that knowledge would have taken away from the character. As far as the Legion not hearing about Chloe Sullivan, it would seem that she either dies relatively young or somehow has her name changed for her protection. The former seems more likely, considering her conversation to Clark about making the right decision if it came down to her and millions of people.
                    NEXT WEEK:
Martian Manhunter gets shot while on police duty.

this show has really fallen off. lex leaving was the worst thing that could happen. can't wait til lana says bye...giving lana powers? who is writing for this show now?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I disagree about Lex leaving hurting the show-Lana & Lex have really worn out their welcome-unfortunately Lana still lingers, but apparently this should be it for her. The worst episode of the season, and still no Lois after the Jan 15th start up.

You guys are brutal. If you ever go on Smallvillesite.net

They already said she would make these appearances. And the way the story is, it was meant for Lois and Clark to get together. Giving Lana her abilities that can kill Clark, she will finally be gone from Smallville for good.

                            Remember the line she spoke

                            Spoiler

But with her and Lex gone, new villians can arise like the old episode. Doomsday can evolve, and he can finally fly, and then majority of the story will become a true Superhero movie with the couple it was meant to be with Lois and Clark.

I still don't like the fact that they gave Lana powers. Yes, it puts a close on Clark and Lana with her being a walking Kryptonite and all but I would've liked it more if they found a way to close the book on their love-life through other means.

Lex aint dead. Like I said in a forum somewhere else If he made a clone of his brother, wife, and countless others I'm sure he had a few extra Lex's lying around.
