Anyone listen to His Statue Falls? I'd say they're Post-Hardcore/Electronic, it's really catchy.
Nice to see you bring this thing up from the dead

Ironic thing is, I randomly started playing some screamo music tonight for my workout.

I definitely have to be in a mood to listen to this stuff these days, I guess it comes with getting older.

I searched E&T for a metal thread and somehow this and the rap thread came up lol. I can get into a lot of genres and subgenres so definitely thought it'd be worth it to bump, hopefully some guys have bands to recommend

I like the heavier side, especially bands that throw some death vocals in there. Asking Alexandria comes to mind.

Can we bring this thread back? I know I3ulvl, and AuChase are fans, but I think we have a few more metalheads, hardcore junkies around.

These songs have been heavy in my rotation.

Spoiler for some intense language in some of these songs.

I was tempted to make a Metal thread that encompasses all subgenres, but I know too many metal snobs. Like a specific thread just for Metal, hardcore, death metal, deathcore, post hardcore, thrash, black metal, metalcore, djent, etc.

For example, I really like this band, and can't even explain why:

Dang this thread hasn't seen any activity since the beginning of this year. Anyone listening to any good Metalcore recently? This is some of what I've been listening to.

I've been on these forums for 3 1/2 years and I have never seen this thread until now!

                        Love Children of Bodom.

New band I heard for the first time a few months ago. Bought their album. Not bad.

I've never seen this thread before or that I've been mentioned in it..

Part of theconfusion with metal is that there are so many sub genres.

I'll listen to various sub genres, it just depends on the artists.

Some of my favorite bands off the top of my head:

Job for a Cowboy, August Burns Red, Lamb of God, Suicide Silence, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Bullet for my Valentine, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Haste The Day, Atreyu, As Blood Runs Black, Evergreen Terrace, Still Remains, Asking Alexandria, Bring me The Horizon (Their first CD is really the only one worth a ****.. it was so ****ing brutal and awesome and then they turned into a bunch of *******), Chimaira, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Between the Buried and Me..

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of them, but these are just some of the bands I've listened to since High School and I really enjoy.

                          I've seen live:

Killswitch, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, As Blood Runs Black, Evergreen Terrace, All That Remains, and Slipknot.

I got addicted to metal when I was 12 years old. I stole my sister's Slipknot CD (the self titled Slipknot CD) and I've been a fan ever since.

Great list of bands there. I haven't really listened to any Lamb of God albums since Ashes of the Wake. I'm actually in the music video for "Now You've Got Something to Die For" for about 2-3 seconds. Haha. They used live footage from a show here in Philly back in 2004 for the video. Had a close-up.

                            I've seen live:

A Life Once Lost, Blood Has Been Shed, God Forbid, Walls of Jericho, Between the Buried and Me, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, The Black Dahlia Murder, Converge, Cave-In, Burnt by the Sun, Premonitions of War, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Darkest Hour, Job for a Cowboy, The Devil Wears Prada, Amon Amarth, The Acacia Strain, and The Red Chord.
