Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Rumors for now, but so are 95% of the posts in this thread lol.
If it's true though, it sounds like no Catwoman either.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
The Batman Animated series started off with Clayface and was decent.
I could see how a realistic sadistic version could be scary as all hell."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Interesting, I think it would be very interesting to bring in a love interest/homewrecker for Gordon.
I'm just not sure how they could make Clayface anywhere near realistic. Just can't imagine that.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Clayface was an actor and master of disguise. I don't understand why he couldn't be portrayed in a realistic manner. Or any of Batman's foes for that manner.
B:TAS started off with Man-Bat.
I like Charlize as Sarah Essen, but if that's true it doesn't mean that Selina Kyle/Catwoman won't be in the film.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I think it's going to be a tough task to make Croc, Bane, Penguin etc. seem realistic.
Now I am not familiar with Mask, Deadshot or others who have been referenced in the thread.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
As far as I know Clayface is a former actor of somewhat prominent fame who developed a weirdass skin condition and thus allowed him to change features and I guess shoot wads of clay too. Like I said, he could be portrayed on a realistic level if they used his background as an actor, some type of flakey skin condition and the fact that he's a master of disguise (so to speak).

So he's a master of disguise.... annd
So he's going to impersonate Gordon or someone important and cause havoc? No thanks.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Why does he have to be a major villain in the story? He could be a simple bank robber.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I guess he could? Not sure I'd wager on that.
What other villains were you referring to, that Nolan could make seem realistic? Because I don't see many... the list seems somewhat limited since there's no Riddler.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I think Nolan could find ways to portray whatever villain he wanted to in his universe, doesn't mean that they would be strong or good characters, but I think there are ways to capture the character without entering complete fantasy land.
Deadshot - Is a for-hire assassin with "Never Miss" as his tagline. I think he would be good as someone involved with the mafia hunting down Batman. Or maybe somehow he teams up with a unit in the GCPD.
The Penguin - A high-class, high-profile criminal financier that is looking to make moves now that the organized crime is fractured.
Catwoman - As a love interest to Bruce Wayne as Selina Kyle and as a cat-burglar who targets high-priced mob items.
Edit: BOF is calling that IGN rumor BS (in a nicer way) and they're betting on Catwoman/Selina Kyle. According to them, an official announcement is coming soon.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 11-03-2010, 12:27 AM.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Personally I think Catwoman is a lock with The Riddler out of the picture, and when you add in the Catwoman reference by Lucious in TDK. But then again I thought The Riddler was a no-brainer as well.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Darn. Looks like we're gonna get Catwoman then after all eh.
I can't be upset, there's only a handful of villains left to even choose from.. but I am not going to expect any film including her to top the first two.
Unless they had the Riddler included..
Penguin and Catwoman really honestly would do nothing for me. But like I said, there's not an abundance of characters to choose from anyway.
Still don't know why he's already ruled out Riddler.. must have an awesome concept/script in mind alreadyComment
