Re: The Dark Knight Rises
That's just about it.
Although, if there's one person I'd trust as a recast Joker, it'd be JGL only because the two of them were friendly and I think he'd treat it as an honor.
That said, I'd rather have him as another character.
And here's a picture from BoF of Hardy that makes me even more excited that he's going to be apart of a Batman movie:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Watch JGL be Nigma and never even don the suit.
Nolan will tease the fans, laugh about it in public and then walk away from another billion dollar film."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I'll say it again; Joker should never be recast, ever. Terrible idea. Nolan will do something great with this, and it will definitely not be recasting Joker.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Someone posted that on my wall, actually, and I don't see Nolan and Bale both going back on their word about how neither of them wanted to do a Batman movie that included Robin.
Here's Bale's quote from after TDK came out: "“If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work.”"
Now, that could also be a fake quote because the origin of it was questionable, but never once did someone come out and say otherwise.Last edited by Beantown; 02-02-2011, 05:49 PM.Comment

And he wouldn't necessarily have to play "Robin". He could just be Dick Grayson.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Something I found interesting while looking around. Bale says he'd do a fourth movie if Nolan told him he had a good enough story.
"All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one," Bale told Empire Magazine. "Well, I wouldn't say definitely. If Chris goes, 'Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting,' then yeah, great, I'd go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure."
As for the upcoming movie, 'The Dark Knight Rises'? He may be starring, but he's not giving anything away.
"If I told you, a bullet would come flying through the window and take me out. Plus I kind of like this mystery that Chris has about all the movies - I'm quite happy to play ball with that. But you'd be surprised at how little I know."Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I thought of that, as well, and I'd prefer the Nigma storyline if they're going to go the route of "Well, technically [Robin/Riddler] weren't in it."

I think what will happen is they'll leave some "easter eggs" (like JGL being Grayson or Nigma, but not Robin/Riddler) for us Batman nerds so that if they ever wanted to come back and continue things, they'd have some pre-existing characters to build off of, while at the same time things would be wrapped up nicely with the trilogy.
EDIT: Speaking of the easter eggs stuff, that made me think about TDK. I still think it's BS when Nolan says Riddler isn't in the movie. That Mr. Reese (mysteries) thing always stuck out to me in TDK.Last edited by BlueNGold; 02-02-2011, 05:58 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Especially after seeing the "It'll do just fine against cats" line come full circle with Catwoman in this movie.Comment

Right. I forget the stuff that he told me, it was before The Dark Knight came out though so it was very long ago.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
