      How disgustingly appropriate.

By the way, I don't know how much truth there is to this, but I heard that there is an embargo in place until the 18th for reviews, which kind of sucks but is also probably the best way to avoid spoilers getting out there.

I'm not reading any reviews, I want to go into this movie as plot blind as possible.

Exactly. I'm still debating on winging it at work with 3 hours sleep and going to the midnight release. I did for the 2nd...

I promised my girlfriend that I'd wait for her to visit me to see this... she isn't going to make it here until the beginning of August. The wait is going to suck.

                    ...Yeah...

Lol, we don't mess around with our promises, and I thought she'd be coming to see me the 26th of July before (she's in Africa until the 21st), but she's going to wait until the weekend of my brother's birthday to come now.

And she's a huge superhero fan (I'm not really, but I love the Dark Knight movies), so this is like the one superhero movie that we both are looking forward to so it's kind of a big deal lol.

...I'm a REALLY good boyfriend lol

Haha, thanks. Yeah, at the beginning of September, she leaves for 4.5 months, so I'm kinda glad to have some stuff like the Dark Knight Rises to experience together before she leaves for Turkey. If we were gonna be at school every day together and stuff I probably wouldn't care too much about seeing this with her, but yeah, I think the wait will probably be killing her too.

lolol I'd probably do the same but I can almost guarantee it'll be in the 90s

Also I read a quote from Christian Bale and I think that this is one of the kinds of thought processes that every CBM should follow.

We kinda made a deal right when we first made Batman Begins; me and Chris said, “Let’s just not let people see Batman half-dressed. It’s just not a good idea.” Batman should be Batman and that’s it. He should always be defined and complete and let’s not ruin that experience for people.
I think most of the CB Movies now a days always have the heroes with their mask off half of the time. I like that Batman hasn't followed suit.

As far having Batman unmasked, it wouldn't really "work" anyway. Underneath the mask are dark circles around the eyes that are applied on, so unmasking him would show those circles.

As you can see, the only time he takes off his mask in either film was in BB after he sedates Rachel in the Batcave, and the shot only shows the back of his head.

Nah, you get full facial in that scene. The viewer does, Rachel doesn't.

Still, even without Batman taking his mask off people know who he is.
