Finally saw the movie.

I am disappointed but it was a good action film for what its worth. And I actually liked the fairy tale ending; its kinda corny but hey I still loved it.


And really with all the Bane love? I thought his character was extremely forced in terms of them showing us he was a bad ***, and his character is pretty vapid. He is a glorified yes man.

I also didnt like the overall theme or rather motives of the villains. They were pretty lame when you strip it down to its core.

Finally got to see it last night with the girlfriend. That was sick.

I really liked Joseph Gordon-Levitt in this movie. I don't really know why I like him so much. I guess it just seems like he doesn't really try to over-act things at all. He seems like a regular good guy throughout the whole thing.

The only thing that kinda went over my head was the ending. Where did he go where he asked for that package that had instructions on how to find the Batcave and everything/how did he know to go there and ask? And are we led to believe that he takes on the role of Batman or he becomes Robin and is a superhero instead of a sidekick?

Regardless, loved the movie, and even though I expected the ending with Alfred and Bruce in Italy (though I didn't necessarily expect Selina), I still liked it. Although a part of me wishes Alfred would have said something to Bruce and they could have made up and been friends again after their fight over Rachel.

Ok so he had a moment and I think its pretty clear why he did it. He had just gotten his *** whooped so his pride was scarred and saw Batman defy the odds and mess the plan up multiple times until that point. At that moment with Batman at yet another weak point it finally dawned on him that maybe he should end Batman so that his master's plan can go through. I mean look what happened, he didn't kill batman and the plan was indeed ruined. So yeah I dont put much stock in he decided to kill batman. He is still a yes man to me. Why is he trying to destroy Gotham other than the girl? I mean, do we just assume he bought into Ras's teachings head over heels even though the man kicked him out? Or did he want to destroy Gotham because his Idol did? Maybe I missed some key dialogue in the film as I honestly was pretty tired going in.

Other than that part Kash, where was Bane a dynamic character to you guys? So he fell in protector love with a twelve year old, got expelled from the ninja school, and proceeded to follow the leader. I feel like if Ras' daughter wasn't the real head honcho, I would appreciate Bane a whole lot more. In my eyes he is just a bad *** version of Scarecrow, a goon.

He's destroying Gotham to fulfill Ra's destiny. He was thankful for the fact that Ra's saved him from the prison. He himself said he was rescued

Too lazy for spoilers.

I don't agree with everyone saying "Bane was just a henchman." Nobody ever thought that until the Talia twist, so why can't you assume that everything before that was all Bane's doing? Do you think Talia fed him what to say, what to do, who to kill, and all of that? No, Bane was completely in control of his own power, and used it all to work with Talia in fulfilling her father's plan.

I doubt this was removed to prevent an R-rating. The way he went out in the theatrical version was probably just more "elegant," focusing more on the fact that he went out strong and trying to protect and serve, rather than focusing on a brutal takeout.

I thought his death was way too clean and kind of stuck out. Would have rather have him disappear in an explosion protecting some kids or shoving some younger officers out of the way or something for his brief redemption.

To me they way he died made it seem like he was still alive. I was waiting for him to "wake up"

Article about a "cut Bane origin sequence."

The thing that you should have seen during that sequence is [Bane] being injured in his youth. So one of the fundamental things about his costume is that he has this scar from the back injury. Even if he hasn’t got the bulletproof vest on, he still has to wear the waist belt and the braces. In that scene in the prison, where he’s learning to fight the same way Batman learned to fight, he’s wearing an early version of his waist belt. It’s showing support, but it’s not the finished one he eventually wears. He’s also wearing an early version of his gas mask, all glued together … If you look at the film, unless they’ve cut it—and I’m sure they haven’t—there’s a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he’s fighting and being taunted by people. He’s got chains on him, and he’s standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he’s wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask.

Well that’s an awful shame, but I suppose you have to cut things. I won’t elaborate on it too much, because it isn’t in the film, but there was another section that showed you why he had the mask and where it came from.
