I have found the exact opposite at Circuit City as those have posted here. Although Circuit City has less employees, they have always been helpful. They even took money off for problems or if they didn't have an item. Best Buy has never done that for me and their employees are usually not nice and act like they don't want to be there. If I had to ever return/exchange something, they always screw something up and it takes about 30+ minutes for a 5 minute process.

Just to let you guys know, if you don't already, no one at Best Buy is payed on commission. And I'm pretty sure CC isn't either.

Also, I'm the "Apple" guy in our computers department and I wouldn't ever turn down someone looking for a PC. In fact, I can't imagine how much trouble I'd get in. It's absolutely ridiculous the guy either didn't know very much about PC's or just didn't want to help. Just terrible customer service.
The 'Apple' guy seemed like it was against the rules for him to help me. He wasn't an employee of Circuit City but he was there to sell only 'Apple' stuff. Made no sense to me.

After waiting a full hour I was just furious so I didn't care what I said. My wife couldn't believe I actually said it even though she knew something was going to come out of my mouth. She was just glad I went the 'smart ***' route

He was probably a vendor and he was there on loan to help sell Apple products, which makes CC more money and a free employee, while Apple gets CC to buy more products from them. Lowes does similar thing, but they are required to wear a vendor vest.

Only one CC here in Houston is on the list. Naturally, it's the one three blocks from my house.

It sucks the CC by my house is closing. I have bought most of my electronics from there, even though there is a Best Buy in the same area. They usually have better prices and the customer service at the particular store I shopped at was great.

Generally I've found that both Best Buy and Circuit City tend to suck. Best Buy usually sucks less though.

Let me know if what kind of deals they have if you stop by. I work a few miles down the road as well and was looking to stop by sometime today if I get the chance.
