Here's the problem, we have a huge group of people that think they can just say FU to the rest of us. They think if they look badass enough they just piss on the rest of society.

Here's the thing, I don't live in place where we have guys packing heat in their boxers.

Again, if we stand up as a society and refuse to accept this behavior we can slowly but surely nip this in the bud.

Exactly. I help out Best Buy so much more than Walmart. I always price-match Walmart's items. Of course, Best Buy isn't "small" by any means, but as long as my money doesn't go to Walmart, I'm happy.
