      Re: Seven Pounds

I saw this last week, and I must say I continue to be impressed by Will Smith. I love it when he plays a serious role, as he pulls them off so well.

Overall it was a pretty good movie, with great acting from everyone involved; especially Will Smith, Rosario Dawson, and Woody Harrelson. The opening scene was great as well, and the reaction from Will afterwords was amazing.

Do yourself a favor and watch that as soon as you can. I'm confident in saying that was Will Smith's greatest performance. Just an amazing story, and a very well done movie. One of my favorites.

If you like Seven Pounds, you'll probably like The Pursuit of Happyness, as the same guy [Gabriele Muccino] directed both.

Probably will go watch this tomorrow night.

Couple of other movies we want to see too though.

Changeling and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but will probably see Seven pounds.

Really sad movie. Is it just me or did Will Smith look like he could start crying at any second in this movie? Lol

While I watched Pursuit of Happyness and really enjoyed it, I didnt care for Seven Pounds nearly as much. This movie seemed really slow for the majority of the movie and I didnt care for that. Pursuit on the other hand wasnt nearly as slow and the fact that it was based on a true story added a little something to the movie that Seven Pounds lacked.

Yeah...he was ubersad throughout the whole thing, understandable.

I enjoyed the movie, felt a little long/slow, but it had me wanting to see the end. Not sure I'd recommend this for everyone though. Definitely glad I saw it though, gets you thinking a bit.

I thought it was decent and not nearly as sad as I was thinking it was going to be.

great movie. Thought W. Smith did a great job with the character.

Decent movie. Predictable major storyline which sort of takes away from the full effect. I'll echo everyone else and say that Rosario looked amazing and acted circles around everyone else in the movie. I'd say save your money and rent it.
