    Re: Scrubs Season 8 Thread

The future "video" montage they did on the back of the banner was awsome... the music, the style and especially the saturated colors gave a very sincere feeling to everything. Definitely a good send off for a great show.

BTW-awsome speech by Cox...."you smell like a father figure"

Thanks god ABC brought this back for a final season and a proper finale. The last episode on NBC did it no justice (at least at that time I assumed it was the shows finale).

Just noticed...was the Bill Lawrence tearing down the banner at the end? Didn't really notice put it together last night.

I watched it free on ABC.com this morning.

I'm really going to miss this show. I didn't start watching it until 2 or 3 years ago, but it QUICKLY became one of my very favorite shows. I think I've seen every episode (not in order), and I am incredibly sad to see it go.

For the record, I loved the ending. It was great for true fans. It focused around JD's fantasies, and it had to... that's what the show was all about for its entire running time.

      Scrubs is over.
I'm hearing that from more and more people. I was/am in the same boat. It just hit me that it was coming to an end. Today feels different knowing its over, but i lost it during the final 10 minutes or so. Nothing wrong with that.

By far my favorite show ever, has been for 8 years.......

It was Bill Lawrence at the end. I thought that was very fitting to have him be the one to say goodnight to JD

So if they bring this back without JD, wouldn't everyone else have to agree to return? How would they explain all the surgeons and doctors leaving the hospital to the interns?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

                Nah,

You only need Turk and Cox. Elliot is in private practice so she doesnt need to be in the hospital. Kelso is gone. JD is gone. In the second to the last episode, the gave a little bit of foreshadowing with Carla saying she may have to quit work to take care of 2 kids.

With that said, I wont watch. Scrubs is JD. Without him its not the same.

I agree but I thought I heard that JD may be a reoccurring character or occasional guest star (maybe the others will too?). I think I'd have to watch just for that, so when he comes on I can be in the loop on what's going on.

                    Re: Scrubs Season 8 Thread

If they do a season 9, they have said it wont be the same Scrubs that we know and love, it will be somewhere between that and a spinoff. My guess is other people step up, the same "B" actors (Todd, Zeltzer etc), with the interns taking on more.

The regulars from this year would msot likely appear in a few episodes, but not be regulars (Some may, like Turk, but that all depends on if pilots get picked up and other items).

This, as Bill Lawrence said, is the end of Scrubs as we've been watching it. If there is a new show, it wont be the same Scrubs (he meant it wouldnt be driven the same way)

I can see Turk coming back. Maybe that was the set up with him being named Chief of Surgery.

That actor sure knows how to milk his roles.

Black actors need to milk the roles they get. There arent a ton of them out there.

Watched it again yesterday, still a great episode. Picked up on alot of new things to. The guy that JD is based off of (Bill Lawrence's friend) is in the final scene where JD is walking towards the hallway. He has a clipboard and says Adios.

They ended that show perfectly. Loved it.

Yup, sure was. He wanted to be in the scene with just JD so no one else would know the ending (outside of crew). But i thought it was poignant to have him be the last person to say bye to JD
