      Re: Scrubs Season 8 Thread

Ed got fired at the end of an episode for being lazy. He then re-appeared int he last webisode being interviewed by Sunny for a few seconds, but he was never on the actual show again.

Season 9 would need to be a bit different. JD has (for 95% of the show) been the narrator/voice over guy. They'd have to hand that off to other people (my guess is mutlitple people would do it) or go to a more classic sitcom, albeit single camera.

        Re: Scrubs Season 8 Thread

Looks like Zach Braff will be back for a season 9. He has agreed to fo 6 episodes which will help transition the show to the new "style" (whatever that is). Sarah Chalke also signed up for 6 more eps, so looks like they will be leaving together.

Turk, Cox and the Janitor all signed on to do another season as long as it doesnt conflict with their pilots. If their new shows get picked up, they wont be on scrubs.

So as of now, we havent gotten official word from ABC, but it appears that Scrubs will be back. Kinda good and bad. I love scrubs, and will def watch more episodes, but that ending was absolutely perfect, why come back for more? It'll never end close to the same way and odds are it'll get canned before they want it to. Very rarely, in any walk of life, do you get to go out the way you want to, this was one of those times.

Well, Braff and Clarke signing for the same amount of Episodes means an obvious story plot.

I think this is a bad idea, personally...

Yeah, not a good idea, while I was disappointed that it ended, I was satisfied how it ended/how they left.

And also the 8th season will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on August 25th

Season 9 has been confirmed by ABC. Zach Braff is back for 6 episodes, Sarah Chalke hasnt signed on but is rumored to be on for 6 eps also.

Turk, Cox and the Janitor are all back as regulars, as long as it doesnt interfere with their new shows.

                No news on Carla yet.

Also, the biggest surprise is, they are thinking about moving away from the single camera format. My guess is they would do that at the end of JD's last episode.

Just let it go Bill! I loved Spin City, I loved Scrubs...make something else new. You have the talent, don't bring it back.

Scrubs couldn't have ended better IMO. How can you top that last daydream by JD...combined with that song from Peter Gabriel.

I'll watch it, but I just don't want to see it tarnished.

Complete changes in the future season(s) of scrubs. Probably the best way to do the show without Zach Braff. Change the setting completely.
