Re: ESPN is now dead to me!
Stuart Scott is THE. WORST.
Maybe back in the day, his dumb catchphrases (as cool as the other side of the pillow) was funny. But now, just like Dicky V, it's really really irritating. He has like 10 catchphrases for each segment he does. So freaking annoying.
Last night after the game, the NBA crew was hilariously dumb. It's like they don't know what they're talking about.
Magic: "The Spurs role players are young guys. But the Heat role players are also young guys. But the Spurs role players are much younger than the Heat role players." WTF?Comment

Re: ESPN is now dead to me!
Only reason I go on ESPN is to watch a game. Haven't watched sportscenter, Cold Pizza or whatever the hell it is called today, Around the Horn, PTI. Don't miss any of it. Pretty easy to find scores and highlights on the internet. I don't need a network to tell me what happened. I get the 4 pro sports networks, but MLB is the only one I really watch.Comment

Only thing espn is good for is radio, the local pittsburgh guys and the SVP/Rusillo show are pretty good.
The Tv part of them is terrible and just unbearable to watch. Been sayin that Stuart Scott is the worst for years now. Those wack *** catch phrases died long ago and thats all he had goin for himComment

PTI is a daily ritual. And the Sports Reporters on Sunday mornings. Other than that all they have is 30 for 30. That documentary series is awesome.

Re: ESPN is now dead to me!
I used to watch/listen to Mike and Mike religiously years and years ago. I tried watching it again not too long ago, and this is right smack in the middle of NBA and NHL playoffs, MLB season, NFL draft stuff, and I had to change the channel. That was the one thing they had goin for awhile with me, but then it seemed like one of them was always on vacation or something and it became turrible.Comment

Re: ESPN is now dead to me!
Yet they were talking about the NBA Finals and the US Open. Nice ESPN.
And I used to like PTI, but I feel that Wilbon and Kornheiser have been brainwashed the past few years after speaking the truth when the show first aired. Now all they do is praise Lebron/Heat, or the bigger market teams. It's not funny anymore, and actually I get upset at the homerism they display when talking about specific events.Comment

Which ESPN only funds. It's these documentary directors who make it what it is.Comment

Re: ESPN is now dead to me!
I must admit I am enjoying ESPN's handling of the US Open so far. Although I have no idea why Chris Berman is doing the afternoon instead of someone like Scott Van Pelt.Moderator
