Lets say Player A was dominating the match.....

ESPN: Praises Player A so much, and acts like Player B doesn't exist in the match anymore and they aren't good at tennis.

Canada: Praises Player A, and offers constructive criticism of Player B and talks about the good and bads of both Player A and B in that days matchup.
Of all the things not to like about ESPN, their tennis coverage is far down my list. I've always found Canadian tennis (and golf) coverage to be dull, dull, dull.

Remember when CTV used to do the Canaidn Open golf tournament? Now normally, golf coverage lends to nodding off but Rod Black and Co. were so actively bad that within 5 minutes you either want to throw a brick at the TV or change the channel right away.

Thankfully these days we get US coverage of that event.

Rod Black saw my EA shirt at an event for the '99 All-Star Game and started a conversation with me. IIRC, he was trying to sell himself as a new pbp guy for Triple Play.
