I'm guessing the free subscriptions I had running until December 2013 won't still be good.

If they do anything even CLOSE to GameFan I will be there. I miss that damn magazine. One of the only ones I really wish had not gone under.

When EGM initially closed shop, my subscription was somehow replaced with Maxim. I called and cancelled my remaining issues and got a refund.

WOW!! Didn't know that was happening. I was trying to catch up with my Giant Bomb stuff. I feel bad for 1Up kind of. They were solid.

I actually didn't care for Garnett. The show really hasn't been as good as it was a couple years ago. Became to "insider" and business oriented. It began taking itself to seriously by tackling some more mature/boring topics. Maybe it is just me, but they seemed to talk way to much Japanese gaming/RPG stuff for my tastes.

I listened to it because it gave me something to listen to on Saturdays at work (in the off-season for college football). And I enjoyed John Davidson (sp?). I also liked the "what you been playing" portion of the show.

I'll give some of the other shows mentioned on this thread a shot. But best of luck to Garnett and the rest of the crew.

I do agree about the Japanese gaming stuff, especially the TGS episodes from last week. Try out the Giant Bombcast. Best gaming podcast around IMO. The guys are hilarious.
