The best people from last night, imo, were....

- The blind guy. Great voice, seemingly very musically inclined overall, and if he makes it to the final 12, people will vote for him like there's no tomorrow.

- The 16-year-old "Adopt a gran-friend" girl. Very cute, lots of presence and great pipes. Probably the most promising all around person from last night, I'd say.

- The oil rig roughneck turned Boys 2 Men singer. Surprisingly good voice and seems like a real good guy.

Overall I thought it was a good episode and I'm enjoying the trend away from the ridiculous auditions and more towards the serious singers. I also really liked Kara, the new judge. She seems like a real person instead of just a wacky caricature (aka Paula) and I thought she had some good things to say.

Also....bikini girl can't sing, and is a real bitch, but she had an outrageous body.
