If someone knowlingly has an STD and passes it on to people then they deserve to be hit. Who knows if the STD thing is true or not but if it is then she deserved it.

No woman deserves to be beaten like that, especially for something that was a willing act on both parts. That was his fault too (if true), it doesn't amtter if she told him or not. It's not like she gave him AIDS or Ebola and he's gonna die in a year, it's herpes, which about about 2/3rds of adults have.

In any case, it's no kind of justification for anything and he'd rightly be found guilty in court (in about 2 minutes) if he tried to use that same excuse. It's amazing to me that people are agreeing with jmood. I wonder what your mothers and sisters would think about encouraging violence towards women.

I'm never one to condone hitting women... I have seen situations, though, where what passed through my mind was, "the broad had it coming to her", like when she was disrespecting the dude in the street, saying stuff about his momma, stuff like that. Then old boy would give her a pimp slap or something. The problem is that both parties usually always know how it's gonna go down, but they stay together. The broad knows what buttons to push to get dude's blood boiling, and she does it, knowing the consequences... Dude knows that when shorty's mouth gets in high gear, she's gonna say stuff to bother him. But he stays with her anyway... But that's how it goes down in the hood sometimes. The dudes are just as much to blame, being products of the environment.

My pops always taught me to "split before you hit". If you feel the NEED to hit a chick, then guess what, that chick ain't for you. I've been with a couple chicks who tried to push a brotha to the breaking point, and I would just up and leave. No need in both of us looking stupid when you're doing a good job of it all by yourself.

While I agree he shouldn't have hit her like he did, I hardly believe you'd be so calm and adult if some girlfriend gave you herpes (the gift that keeps on giving). You're seriously telling me you'd just pop your pills, spread cream, and walk away? We've seen you blow up on message boards for way way way less, just saying.

I wouldn't hit her, but I'd sure be damn pissed...Believe me, I'd possibly sue if there was intent, something...I don't see how someone could be as calm as you describe.

If she wants to spread a disease around and not tell anyone about it then I have no problem with her getting beat. Of course like I said, that's only if that disease story is true. Other than something like that there's no reason for a man to beat on a woman.

If he knew she had herpes and he still didn't rap it up then yes, it's on him. If she hid it from him and he found out later that he had it then that's not his fault.

It's not a death sentence, but it's not curable...someone gives me an incurable disease on purpose and I'd be pissed. I just find it hard to believe that you'd be all "Oh, I've got herpes now? I'll deal. Where's my Xbox controller?"

Blow up yes...hit her, never.

My wife and I have had a couple of loud fights, but nothing has ever been thrown, broken, nor have fists/palms/feet flown either. You just walk out, calm down, and move on. Hell, I've never even felt the urge to hit a woman even when I've been extremely pissed off.

It's just something you don't do.

66% of american adults have genital herpes? Thats not even close to being right. More like 30%.

Whats funny is I asked my mom and cousins about this and they agreed with me. If someone found out someone knowingly gave him herp, I couldnt blame him for not thinking and hitting her once. Now it appears CB did more than that but when this whole conversation started most people were only aware of one punch.

She may have given him herpes

Did she tell him she gave him herpes while in the car, and then he flew off the handle and hit her? What are you guys arguing happened here? He knew about it beforehand but waited until she was driving to the ****ing Grammys so he could kick her *** and risk both of their lives/careers? Makes NO SENSE.

People are arguing that it might be a justification seem to be arguing some kind of "heat of passion" defense where he couldn't BELIEVE that this woman gave him herpes, so he lashes out and beats her. That makes no sense. This is some internet rumor that people are using to justify beating a woman. You realize that, right?

Yeah, getting herpes would make it way way way tougher finding someone to marry, date, etc. It would farking suck, no way in hell I'd want to deal with that. It'd fark up your life. Yeah, it's not deadly, but do you want your life that screwed up?

It's not a valid reason for hitting her (unless she started beating on him first and he had to defend himself IMO). I just can't believe some people find herpes to be "not a big deal"
