If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -
Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception
SpoilerNot sure man, it was Elos Engineering something like that.
I actually wanted to see Cirus but found out it isnt playing anywhere around me so I saw this. I enjoyed it. It was a bit long, but in the end it was like nothing I have ever seen before. Its a movie that will stand in a league of its own. I mean I cant explain it, but when I was watching it it felt like Im watching something new go down.Comment

Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception
Vanilla Sky and The Matrix immediately jumped to my mind. It's much better than both of those movies but it has a lot of elements from those two.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception
Which borrowed heavily from Dark City, which in turn probably borrowed from something else. Nothing is truly original in this day and age. The most original aspect of Inception is the whole concept of dreams within dreams, but it wouldn't surprise me if that had been done before as well.Comment

Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception
This is the only thing that I got hung up on, but other than this, what a fantastic film. Music was great on it too I thought.
SpoilerI'm assuming that a limited number of people in the world know what dream sharing is and how to do it. I'm also assuming that Fisher is one of them, since he had his mind protected. My question is: How did he not have any inkling of memory when he woke up from that dream that Cobb and Company were such huge integral parts of his dream and that they were the only people there with him in the plane; he didn't get suspicious? I'm going on the assumption as well that the actual dreamer just remembers fragments of his dreams like in real life...?Comment

If he was told about how the people he sees are projections of his subconcious then I don't think that he should've been suspicious of anything unless he knew for sure that someone was going to try to steal from him.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Another good thing about this movie is that it makes me even more excited for the next Batman movie since Nolan has finally learned how to make great fight scenes.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: Christopher Nolan + DiCaprio = Inception
lol @
i guess jurassic park wasn't original either, since it wasn't the first movie to have dinosaurs in it. I guess there can never be another original love story either, my God that's been done to death.
anyways....
the editing in the film was excellent. Nolan is able to tell stories and explain complex situations without making the viewer feel as if he's being lectured to.
it's like ocean's eleven meets the matrix.
side note. Even before I saw this movie i've been thinking that JGL could probably play a villain in the next Batman. If you don't think he can do crazy/demented/psychotic you should watch him in Kill Shot with Mickey Rourke.
I honestly didn't much care for the special effects in the beginning of the movie. I felt it took the focus away from the concept of dream invasion.Last edited by beastwork; 07-18-2010, 04:06 PM.Comment
