LOL, what about the Sundance Kid, Johnny Hooker (The Sting), Bob Woodward (All The President's Men), Jerimiah Johnson? I will say most of his more memorable roles were in the 70's.Comment

I'd agree w/ that except for Ice Cube just because on Friday I always thought of him as Ice Cube as opposed to Craig.
I don't know about Rawls, but Daniels is playing basically the same character in both shows, of course there's no conflict.
And it's not necessarily that it ruins whatever other role they play like TK said in the first half of his post, but more what TK said in the second half of his post about no matter what they do, you'll always see them as that character you know them best as. To me, Daniels is Daniels, even on Fringe, he just moved from Baltimore to Boston.Comment

Although I loved the job that Brandon Routh did in Superman Returns. I think it isn't a fair comparison to take succesful tv actors to their movies, you'll almost always compare them to their tv show. Will Smith is one I can think off the top of my head that isn't type casted.
-Toby McGuire will always be Spiderman whenver I see him.
-I love Hugh Jackman in the Prestige and other movies but no matter what I always picture him about to claw someone.

None of these have made that kind of impression on me. Adam Sandler-Happy Gilmore? Face it, 90% of the time Adam Sandler plays Adam Sandler.I agree and I watched the show only a handful of times.I can't understand that seeing how Office preceded 40 Year Old Virgin. That being said I had no typecast problem with Carrell as the 40 YOV.Maybe Winkler, and I couldn't give any opinion on Martin, but disagree on everyone else. Before Ferris Bueller Broderick had great exposure in War Games, playing an entirely different character. In all due respect, it seems like this board is very Typecast Sensitive.
