That still doesn't excuse it. Not having muscles and tobacco and dudes holding weaponry that should only be found on the underside of an Apache helicopter is just wrong.

To me it's like if they just completely overhauled the way the Predator looks.

Which is why it's a reboot. Rodriguez can change/overhaul/use whatever he wants. It's not a remake, which means he doesn't have to have anything in common with the original.

I am too. The first one is a masterpiece that can never be diminished by any movies that follow it. The AVP's were garbage, but maybe this reboot will end up being great.

I'm a die hard fan of the original Star Trek universe and canon, but went into the New Star Trek movie with a open mind and enjoyed the new alternate reality they created.

I even enjoyed Predator 2 which a lot of people disliked. I just love the Predator universe and even found some good in the bad AVP films too.

I think he's been in most of RR's movies as the token Mexican/Hispanic badass. He's perfect for the role, too.
