Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
LMAO! Good job getting that one.
Spoiler
Haha, the line that killed me for some reason was Joan sitting in the hospital with Don, "It's a shame.. one minute you're on top of the world and the next you're getting run over by a secretary riding a lawnmower." Haha, dunno why, I think maybe because it was Joan, but that just killed me. I also loved when they were squeegeeing the window and Harry almost puked -- Sterling: "Suck it up, Sallyboy" or something like that..Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
That was one of the best episodes of the series IMO.
So many great lines, and the mix of comedy and Drama was A+.
SpoilerThere were 2 parts of the episode that took my by surprise which was awesome. Even though they foreshadowed it with the dinner, having Joan's husband Greg not get the job surprised me considering she was set to leave and everything, I guess I assumed Greg getting the job was a lock. Then of course having the new President or whatever get run over was shocking, not because a bunch of drunk people driving a lawnmower in an office resulted in injury, but the way they cut to the scene that Fresh Tendrils posted was surprising and great!
P.S Congrats on your emmies mad men, definitely deserved.Go Yankees

Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
Oh, haha, after watching it again last night, my other favorite part:
SpoilerWhen Cooper tells Guy, "Sterling's not even on the chart" -- the little guy running the projector went over and drew a line straight down from Cooper and wrote "STERLING".. so hilarious. "My name's on the wall outside for christ's sake." Sterling and that whole situation was just hilarious this episode.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

"He got his foot run over by a lawnmower"
Sterling: And he just got it in the door.........
In this business, this cant be the first time that happened........

Episode was amazing. /Film is apparently seeing some Kubrick and obviously some Hitchcock influence in the series. I will have to pay more attention.

Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
I agree fresh, the last 2 episodes are great TV period. I was going nuts trying to piece together how we were going to end up with don and peggy in their separate situations.
P.S
SpoilerSo sterling knows about Don's past then right? I've always been interested in how don got to be in such a high position in the ad agency with his shady past, hopefully they explain it some more later in the season.Go Yankees

re:
Spoiler
I don't think anybody in Don's daily life outside of Pete Campbell knows about Don's past or has any clue.
Don is quite the party animal by the way - he does it all.

Sort of liked the Breaking Bad beginning to this one, but I don't want to see that with any regularity. My guess is that it was a trial format. I think BB pulls that off nicely.... but this show should leave that technique alone.Comment

I never got that impression one bit, but how their interaction will now play out could be real interesting.

Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
O i c. Well, Sterling is more self-absorbed and doesn't think past his assets or the tip of his schwantz. Cooper is more intuitive and a student of the world. Although you never really see him much, his character seems to be painted as someone who looks at the big picture and yet pays attention to the details, always trying to figure how the world works. I'm sure he analyzed Don's refusal to sign a contract and all the implications therein. So, I don't think he knows something specific, but has his assumptions (unless there are details that they haven't revealed).Comment

Re: Mad Men set to return for Season 3 (MadMen)
The only thing Cooper knows about Don's past is what Pete Campbell told him earlier in the series, and Cooper basically waived it off as being irrelevant.
