What exactly did Campbell tell him? Could he have waived it off so that Campbell didn't think he had anything to leverage with within the company, while keeping the info in his pocket till he needed it. (For example when he needed don to sign the contract)

Exactly but not so irrelevant that he cant use it as leverage.

Right, but Pete thinks its irrelevant and that's what Coop was going for at the point I believe. I like how they are writing Cooper. He seems like an old, wise grandfather figure and kind of "just there", but under neath the surface I think he is a scheming devil.

This show has hands down the best writing/dialog I've seen on television. I strive to be able to write like this one day.

One of my favorite quotes, not from this show:
“I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”

Every word is packed with importance, every gesture, every pause, every sigh means something. There is very little wasted in this show and I love it.

It's great to see Weiner and company fleshing out Cooper's character...He's sheepish, but his words are surgical and precise when need be.

I loved the Sacajawea metaphor...short and simple, but had the ability to cut the great Don Draper at the knees.

Holy crap, Don just went hard at Betty and at Peggy... he was in quite the mood this episode.

Great episode, maybe my favorite of the series so far... just thick in every way possible. I love that they left him a "Thanks Mister" note haha... Roger is uber-douche. Duck in that ***.

Peggy Olsen is the most random character. Can't believe she did that. For all the things she stands her ground for, to do that was not in line of how she usually behaves. But with her, it's a roller coaster. She makes a mistake, goes intensely private and cautious, then loosens up and makes another mistake again.

Man....when she makes mistakes, she makes doozies. She just doesn't know who she is and keeps fooling herself that she does. This why Don is much better for her and she knows it, yet

As much as Peggy tries to be her own self and be tough and run with the men, she's really weak and relies on what people think of her way too much.

Btw, since no one else pointed it out, the line from Cooper saying "afterall, we both know that Don Draper is the one signing thing" (or something along those lines) was basically signifying to Don that if he ever chose to get out of his contract, Don Draper signed it, not Dick Whitman.

Yeah that's what it was that stuck out to me about cooper knowing of don's past.

                            PM me.

...or check the listings. AMC seems to be replaying a couple of nights during the early part of the week, maybe latter week as well, though not sure.

So, Betty's character annoys me to no end. Its like the only time she is ever happy is when her logical, critical thinking is off in some fantasy land.
