    Re: District 9

There will be a sequel..but unless it is totally creative, it is going to suck. It is way out of Chris Johnson's character to fight a war with the humans, maybe if he tells the others(if there are any on their planet) then they will go to war with the humans.

I just saw it yesterday on blu ray and they did a great job with the effects for a small budget...the story was good too although I thought it was a bit dumb with CJ just standing there over a dead prawn in MNU and them even getting out of MNU...also the fact that even though I would think his DNA would be totally changed when he becomes a full prawn...did you guys feel sympathetic towards him? I did until I learned that he could understand the prawns...wouldn't even answer the prawns when they asked about why they are getting evicted etc.

And the way the movie worked was perfect, just like a book/movie is supposed to go...lots of elements of irony and such...dynamic character etc.

I loved the ending the most..if they had just worked together everyone would have been happy...and to add. Did you guys pick up on hte main plot? How the prawns were more human than the humans(at least how humans are supposed to act, and how people want others to act)

it's a movie ! As in not real. If you only like movies that are 100% realistic you are in trouble !

Watched it on Blu-Ray tonight. The first part of the movie I found strange and was wondering what was so good about this movie. Then it sucks you in. Really good movie . I like the kid alien the best. Are they planning a sequel ?? I kind of don't want one.

p.s. Those alien guns are bad *** !

For sure, would be cool to have in a video game and see human's explode.

Good movie, definitely worth a rental. Not sure if I'd add it to my blu ray collection though.

Watched the blu-ray last night (saw it in the cinema twice) and still love this movie! One of my all time faves for sure!

The special features were cool. I especially liked Sharlto Copely messing around with his arrogant American accent. He's gonna be worth keeping an eye on in the A-Team remake

I hope there is a sequel and the story surprises us

You should enjoy it. It's one of the better looking blu-ray's I've seen. Really love the quality of the transfer.

Hope so! Missed this in theaters, so I've been trying to avoid any reviews/info. as much as possible.

Just finished watching this and phenomenal film.

Great mix of storytelling with action sequences. I loved every minute of it.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

I finally got a chance to watch this on dvd. At first i thought the movie was stupid but it grew on me the more i kept watching. It turned out to be an entertaining movie. The final scene was classic. Im going to rent the blu ray and watch it again to see how stunning it looks in HD.
