Contraband. Despite the lukewarm reviews, I actually enjoyed this. There we a lot of "you can't be serious" moments though.

SpoilerThey did a terrible job of setting up the wife being "dead" twist. The camera actually zooms in a shows her hand twitch. And the miraculous rescue was just as bad.Comment

21 Jump Street - I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was clever, but not too smart and really never tried to a movie that it wasn't. Pretty funny all around and while I probably wouldn't run to see this again, I don't have a problem recommending it to people.
Cabin in the Woods - I loved this. Anybody who is a fan of any of Joss Whedon's work needs to see this as his stamp is on damn near everything. I loved the set-up and loved watching it unfold. Will buy on blu-ray the day of release.
the night after 21 Jump Street, we watched Goon on-demand. hockey fans will love it. non-hockey fans...maybe.
i've heard lots of good things about Cabin in the Woods, going to have to check it out.Comment

Poltergeist - It is amazing how unscary this movie is, but at the same time it really draws you in and creates the tension that way. This is a pretty good "horror" film for what it is and it is crazy that this was the guy that brought us The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. As much as a love Coach, Craig T. Nelson was clearly going for Harrison Ford. I feel like that role was written with nobody but Harrison Ford in mind and he bailed. Too bad, because the wife is a major MILF.

The Negotiator. I always like a good cops movie. Can't go wrong with Samuel L and Kevin Spacey. Good times.Comment

Watched Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol....Now that's what I call a whiz bang action flick! The story while a bit outlandish served as a good backdrop to all the actioneering. I think my favorite setpiece was the whole thing in Dubai.
I give this 3 stars out of 4.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

The bad twist came from his friend being the "bad guy" that was somewhat predictable sadly.Comment

The Divide
I love apocalypse type movies....but don't.
Just don't.
If the writers ambition was to just have the viewer think about the film for days.
Mission accomplished.
I've been saying WTF? to myself since Tuesday.

I'm not gonna lie. The part where the boy looks over the sides and under his bed was getting me pretty good, haha.
