Chronicle. Better than I expected. Not a fan of the Cloverfield camera style, but it worked in this..... maybe even better than CF.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
It was pretty good, I just kind of wish their was closure between the one guy and the girl with the camera. It seemed as if they were together, than the whole segment before the end was the last you saw of her. Ending kind of felt rushed. Solid movie though.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Classic. Ventura is awesome in this movie and the scene of Arnold and Carl Weathers shaking hands and the closeup on the guys' arms gets me every time. Weathers was pretty yoked at that point, and he had to be in his early 40's.Currently Playing:

Saw Contraband. Thought it was ok, nothing mind blowing but was fun. Unique concept with smuggling but still a heist type of movie which didn't really add anything special to the genre.Comment

Men In Black 3: Excellent movie. Josh Brolin played young agent K to perfection. I agree with others who said they loved the ending, I loved how they wrapped the series up.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Men In Black 3
Saw the first one so long ago, and never saw the second one. I'm a bit reluctant to see these alien films, because normally they're just so weird. This one is no exception, but the actual portions featuring Jones, Smith, or Brolin at any time were hilarious and very much worth watching. I also liked the ending very much.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
The Avengers - I think this is the best of the Marvel films thus far (or at least tied with Iron Man 1) simply because the combining of each character's movie-verse into one is something I don't think I've ever seen done in the movies before. That aspect of the comics is why the medium is so unique and I thought Marvel did a great job translating that on the screen. Personally, I felt like each character was stronger in this than in previous films (Stark withstanding), especially Thor and Loki. Ruffalo stole every scene he was in channeling some type of weary, sad man hiding behind comedic relief. The plot felt brushed over and rushed through, but I felt like the dynamics between the characters (something Marvel has always done amazingly well - sorry DC) made up for a lot of that. This really felt like a comic book movie, which isn't surprising considering how much fan service they did with the material, but without dropping down into that old familiar territory or being campy and cheesy. It is the exact opposite of Batman in terms of tone and atmosphere and I welcome it because it suited the movie and characters. Hopefully some of these other comic properties take note of this because with Batman's success it feels like a lot of them have been getting white-washed with that dramatic, dark tone that Nolan has crafted so well. Overall a great movie and an awesome culmination of movies by Marvel.

Man on the Ledge
I don't remember seeing this in theaters, but we rented it On Demand. It was an awesome movie. I'll recommend it to anyone! Kinda started off slow, but it definitely picks up.

Tower of Terror
It's a Disney movie so I figured it'd work out but it's based on Twilight Zone so there was slight hope it wouldn't be predictable. Guess I can say it wasn't awful at least.
Crisis on Infin...uhh...MIB 3
Exceeded expectations. Some good funny bits and Josh Brolin did a great job. Pretty sure I've see a story just like that somewhere before though.I don't really understand the end...
Spoiler...it recreated the exact current day. Shouldn't it have been some third alternate time because Borris died? "Where there is death there is always death." but now there's 2 deaths. They certianly wouldn't have had the talk the night before because there'd be no Borris. That was set off because he escaped but he died in 1969 so couldn't have escaped in 2012.Comment

Hence while referenced J's dad was not there in his life, we now assume he was dead and J just didn't know it. That death was what caused K to be the way he is today, meaning that death was indeed always there. I believe K also referenced Borris' race had been extinct for 40 years when J came back to current day, meaning the current day did change(the talk still occurred, but the mention of their race is basically gone). I could be wrong, but that makes the most sense to meLast edited by Chrisksaint; 06-03-2012, 07:52 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

The death has to be there,it can just change who dies.
Original world = J's dad.
2nd = K.
3rd = J's dad and Borris.
See so there's two deaths where there was only one resulting in what should be a different world. Unless K and J's dad both died in world 2. That's another thing,in the 2nd J shouldn't have been a MIB agent without K and wouldn't have been there to figure out how to go back in time. Especially if his dad died there.
Missed the extinct comment but that convo wouldn't have happend,there'd be nothing to look up leading to the convo,K wouldn't have been sitting there with the space shotgun waiting for Borris.
No one read the above. Just don't think about it and enjoy it.Comment

Lol Yeah it's all confusing when you really think about it that way, but I guess it's for the best we just take it for what it is and enjoy how the series was wrapped up.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Super 8, solid movie. Saw no trailers at all so didn't know what was going on so this describes the movie for me.

The Cabin in the Woods: Awesome. Instant classic in my book. Reminded me of the Evil Dead series, just all-around a spectacular film.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 06-04-2012, 04:36 PM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment
