Re: What movies have you seen recently?

There has been a few movies I wanted to see in the theaters, but I ended up deciding to wait for DVD release. I wanted to see Avengers, Spiderman, American Reunion, Sherlock Holmes 2 last year, Batman. There is still a chance of me seeing Batman if it stays in the theaters for a while. I am guessing Avengers will be out in Sept, so I dont really regret not seeing it.

How was American Reunion and SH2? I wanted to see both in theaters but ended up not.

American Reunion was actually really good. Especially if you loved the original American Pies when they came out like me. It was really good and pretty much every character returned. It was right on par with the original, 2, and Wedding.

I actually disliked his indy work, but his performance in "Get Low" with Duvall put him back in my "I Like Bill Murray" camp.

I'm not sure what compelled me to do it, but I just finished watching Hostel Part III. I was seriously about to fall asleep, while browsing through Netflix and I decided to hit play.

I've now seen Part I and III.

The movies are always insane and over the top, but for some reason I like 'em. I'm sure Blzer can relate to how I feel about them.

I could somewhat predict the ending, but it still kept my attention throughout the entire movie. Now, I'm back to being dead tired and in worse shape than before.. lol.

Is the second one worth watching ?

The best Bill Murray stuff is his 80s comedy films and his Wes Anderson films.

You saw my post on Part III, right?

I can't remember if I spoke about Part II at all, but it was my least favorite of them all. It was more like the first one (neither are really like the third), and with all female leads it just didn't really catch my interest much. There was only one really good scene in it IMO. It also ties any loose ends with the first one, and better explains the system of what goes on in these places.

I don't know if this has been discussed, but I just found out that Ed Helms is apparently playing Rusty Griswold in another sequel to the National Lampoon's Vacations. Seems Rusty is taking his family on vacation.

Takes way too long to get going. Though when it does it becomes a solid little thriller. I give it a C+

                      The Hunger Games

Came into the film with extremely low expectations. Enjoyed everything leading up to the actual games. Once the games started, the film started to bore me.

Better than expected, but that's not saying much. I would give it a C

I've watched I and II. I don't remember much about II. I remember a boat scene (just reread the plot on wiki and yep, that's the film I'm remembering).

For some odd reason, I watched I and II and sat through them without feeling robbed. I don't think the films are really that good, but I still want to watch Hostel Part III.

I also saw it was on Netflix and I looked at the box art for a bit before deciding to move on.

                                Captain America.

Still not sure if I liked it or really liked it.

I think it was well-done. The effects were pretty bad (and I never complain about special effects). I think Evans did a nice job acting and anything Tommy Lee Jones does always seems to be solid.

I liked the casting for the older Stark.

It's a good origin story that wraps things up and prepares you for Avengers.

Only thing I disliked is the misses on potentially great action scenes. It seemed most action with Cap were montages. Kinda boring.

There are two specific scenes I thought should have escalated especially the last scene when
